US West Server
why does everyone I know in US West Server ping gone up? at least by fourty, including mine...
it's usually 180, it's gone up to 240 therefore a 60 has been added on.
i never get get this, it's always 180... patch after patch, mine never changes. now it has, i'm quiet worried that it'll be permanent. this game isn't really 'playable' with 240 ping due to the massive factor ping has in this game.
can a mod, or gm tell me if there's more changes to be made?

It really seems as if they've moved the dam server to Canada, my Alpha ping is 237 (at it's lowest and goes up to 243). My US West ping was ALWAYS 180...
Lets just hope this isn't permanent... I'd like an official answer tho from a GM or MOD.
I'd just like to know if the server is still getting work done, or w/e. -

soo 2 days ago i had a cool ping of 190-200 at westcoast. soo when there was a patch and finished my ping was like 247. I dont like this because ppl always tank my shotts. Did u guys move the server please mve it back or simply but it where i live =D -
We get no warning that the servers are gonna be down for 8 hours and then when its back up west coast is gone, then when west coast is up it stuffs up and then after that maintenance and then after it was open we have the same equal ping to alpha and echo? whats next guys?

This has been going on for some months - pings have gradually degenerated. Mine used to be 165, then 175-180, then 200-210, now mine is also 240+ at same level as Alpha - this morning it was worse than Alpha.
Makes me wonder if West Coast is really a standalone server or if it is tied to east Coast servers. This is the kind of thing that happens when Load Balancers get screwed up and traffic engineered paths are misconfigured.
I'd also like to hear from a GM what is happening here - there are clearly some technical configuration issues with this West Coast Server. -
Just plain wrongFrom Southern California, if the server is located in downtown Los Angeles then I'm ~50 miles away from it, so I am not affected. Having good Internet helps to.
Dude, I don't wanna flame you, but 'having good internet' and ping aren't really related at all. Ping is Round Trip Time (RTT). The critical factors are distance and the amount of infrastructure you pass through to cover the distance (hops). Sometimes made even worse by poorly scaled or configured infrastructure - symptoms input buffers full and overflowing leading to dropped packets.
A high quality fibre link and a dial up link will have very close pings from same source-destination-source.
I have a 100 mbps internet link - I still have a horrible ping to West Coast. -
