well then, no one does it besides the friggin grammar nazis .--.
i don't think it will be more popular with a karma system .---.
Well aside from being a complete meanie on the internet, does the Karma system give us an incentive aside from the ribbon? I'd love to buy myself something from these karma points >:3 -
It will be like "hey i did a good & serious answer why didnt i get the karma but they guy 2 threads under me got one for a more stupid answer "they don't have to rate every single post they read, it's like "oh, this is good, i'ma give this guy a +1 karma!" .--.

Don't think mods would like this system.
I think a better alternative would be people with over mmm idk 150-200 posts can like or dislike.
HAHAHA!
Not a chance...Vn_Strife_XV wrote: »Major pain in the ass for the mods having to rate every single post that's been ever posted
I'm pretty sure they wont rate every single post.. -

Well, we used to have the karma system back in the day, and we didnt have the issues that you pointed out, well, there were a couple of randies complaining, asking why they never got karma, when in reality their posts didnt contribute that much at all. -
useful posts = +1 karma per Mod/GM
normal posts = no karma changes
unuseful posts = no karma changes or -1 karma
trolling = infractions.
people complaining about not gaining karma = do better answers and be more useful to the forums, then you will receive a karma point.
people mini-modding or trying to dequalify other people's posts = no karma given to a post will be taken without post editing by the author and works the other way too.
1500+ karma points will generate you your ribbon.
spamming or receiving infractions will make your karma balance go back to zero or to negative values. -
Ehh, mods probably CBA.
People would just spam them to give them +karma., clustering a hackusations full inbox.
Maybe Only certain members can be given the right to use +karma.
Maybe MODs can pick people that have been in the community long enough and are considered mature and respected by many.
This way it won't all just depend on the MODs.
Just trying to come up with ideas.
