Alright, so recently I decided to buy a box of questions, the name is..
Chuck Klosterman's Hypertheticals 50 Questions for Insane Conversations.
I decided to show you guys a question, and if you want, answer the question.
You are kidnapped by a diabolical (but completely honest) madman.
He locks you in an empty attic where the temperature is 100 degrees.
Your feet and hands are tired together. There is no food or water.
After 24 excruciating hours, the madman opens the attic door and enters with three glasses of ice water on a serving tray.
He takes an eyedropper and squirts a colorless, odorless liquid into one of the glasses.
"This is poison," he tells you. He then blindfolds you.
When he removes the blindfold 30 seconds later, there is a drinking straw in each of the water glasses (but you have no idea which glass contains the poison). "Feel free to have a refreshing sip of water," he says.
"Of course, if you select the glass that contains the poison, you will be dead within ninety minutes. And-just so you know-I promise to release you from this attic . . . in forty-eight hours." He then laughs maniacally and exits the attic, locking the door behind him.
What do you do?
Do you gamble and drink.
Or do you try to wait out the mad-man?
If you want to answer it go ahead, and I would have to gamble, since it's 100 degrees in the attic.

What if you have a bluetooth? Can you use it; if yes then I would just call for help hope they trace the call and wait, if no then I would take small sips from each option over long intervals thus diluting the poison and minimizing the possibilities of being poisoned.

I'm guessing you're naked during the whole process, or he just removed all electronics.

Poor the water out (on yourself to cool down) of 1 of the glasses and in it collect the ice from all three. The ice would not have absorbed the diluted poison, and being that the room is 100 degrees should melt quickly enough for you to drink relatively quickly.

I'd lie down on the floor and pretend that I'm a carrot. After a couple hours of saving up mental carrot energy I would then transform myself into biotic version of myself and bust out of the attic with the power of ten justicars. Then I'd beat the crap out the madman, and sit on him while I wait for the police, who I have called. But seriously speaking, I'd try to hold out for as long as I can, and then take sips from both.

It says your hands are tied.

You certainly classify as anti-immagination.:(It says your hands are tied.

Yes, true you will have awful dehydration, but..
..Well it's kinda same if I'd be spending that 2 days at Sauna or at that attic..
..By the way..
..Of course depending of the poison, being in Sauna makes you kinda sweat that poison from your system really quickly, so depending of your resistance, it just makes you feel sick but not kill you.
..If your resistance is weak.. Well it kills you quicker. -
add to the fun: after sipping from each glass, you're sensory deprived so you have to spend 90 minutes (not knowing when 90 minutes has passed) waiting to die.
So is your option suicide?
I don't know why else someone would sip from all 3 glasses. ^_^
It would be awkward if you survived through the days and then he comes to get you out, now that's what I would call an awkward moment.
These questions in this box type-thing is pretty neat. :P -
Nah, I already posted what I would do.
A small sip from each glass wouldn't kill you.
Nor would sucking on the ice cubes.
But if you're not allowed to sip, I'd just wait it out.
48 hours in heat is nothing.
Well, remember you were already in there for 24 hours before.
So you'd already be 'dying' by the time he entered the room with the water.
True that, small sips won't kill you, might make you sick, but not kill you. -
When you're in a Sauna, you are usually naked there.I love how almost all answers have stuff that has nothing involved in the room. ^_^
Let's just say your naked in a room, with only the 3 water glasses.
Since everyone is thinking they have a cell-phone or a PSP on them to play.

Atleast you better get some clothes off quickly if you don't want to die to a heatstroke.
