See, the problem with this is that it's much too easy to do that. Even an "accidental" click could get you a free ribbon. Even 25 posts was much too easy. Don't forget, the original ribbon required 1000 posts; it was reduced to 25 because of spammers.
If/once/hopefully when/eventually when, forum upgrades come, something else could be introduced, but nothing is guaranteed; so all you have to do is hope and wait for something to come out.
did they remove it becasue i have about 250 posts and i still dont have the ribbon o.0? -

They're deleting spam posts, QQ threads, they move threads and e.g. Hi is doing Project Android, whats quite usefull.. -

Give it to people every so often - Like do a check for it like once a month of ever 2 weeek or so to see who has earnt it :P
The undisclosed number is so that people do not just spam posts as they dont know how many they need and it would still take them a year to get it if they have never used the forums before :P So they would actually have to be active forumers for it to work. -

Especially that people dont know how many posts they will need for it, but people might be like throwing in trash every day to look like an active forumer, but well i guess that's manageable for the mods as it wont be that many people (hopefully).

Its like what they said before :b keep the number of posts u need hidden so that noone knows it exactly '-'How bout making it a hidden ribbon, not listed anywhere until someone wins it? Say, I wouldn't know about it until i reach 1000 posts, and i check my profile, and suddenly the ribbon is there. That's the only way to see it. =D -
Anything based on post count will create spammers, I told z8 this before they even implemented the ribbon.
OFC they didn't listen and thought they knew best until they got their poor mods having to delete posts 24 hours a day on mass.
If a forumer ribbon is introduced it needs to be based on threads read, time spent browsing the forums using sessions or something else, then even if someone 'spammed it' it would not affect the staff or other forumers.
