I shudder to think the route your thought process goes through if you think that downloading and running a beta version of software is a good idea when you are not a developer or beta tester. You cannot expect any current software to work with Win8 at this stage of development. It takes time. This is an operating system, not some random squiggly line generator to keep kids amused.

Installing a beta OS if you're planning on gaming is the stupidest idea you could think of. If you can re-install Windows 7, I'd recommend doing that.you can run the game in Windows 7 mode, and it will work.

Can't expect people to have the least common sense about computers.
It's like running Linux expecting to game w/o spending some time getting it to work first (Not just running it on wine either)
See I'm surprised noone said run it on virtual machine. Because that would be even more of a failure than trying to play it on w8
