Bring the karma system! (new ribbon idea too)
Well, i think all you guys know how a karma system works right?
you get positive karma if people find your posts useful, you get negative karma if people think your posts are useless, BUT, this will have a slight difference, only MOD's and GM's will be able to rate the posts, meaning you have to actually be useful to get the positive karma, and then, you will have your karma balance :]
Ribbon idea:
you will have to get 2000 positive karma points! (meaning you will have to get at least 2000 / MOD's and GM's posts).
so what do you guys think? :]

2k is too much and any lower, it would just be too much kissing ass from people. -
So, just to get it the right way..
The mods will have something like a "Like" and "Don't Like" button and if u get 2k likes u get that ribbon?;D

I think a better alternative would be people with over mmm idk 150-200 posts can like or dislike.

you won't get the ribbon by spamming, you have to be actually useful, so the mods can rate your posts, otherwise, they will give you negative karma.Mods are human and can be biased too. This idea is a no.

well, if you have about 10 GM's and MOD's, that would be a total of 200 rated +1 posts per MOD/GM, wich aren't really many posts .-.You people are so bad with numbers.

I don't think it would work if MODs and GMs were the only ones that could give karma, because that would just cause hundreds of mini-mods. whether that's a good or a bad thing i'm not sure, but anything can be taken to the extreme.

simple, easy, clean, and actually will work, but will take a lot of time to get the ribbon :X -

actually, there's not many people who do it, and i've been here for a decent amount of time (3k posts and 1 year forumming actively), but yeh, i think people won't do it, but if they do it, what it will change on their lifes?
karma can be distributed equally and if someone gain karma for being a good forummer, whatever, you can gain too, or you can stay as you are and do not gain karma .---. -
