Since we were not able to work out a deal to get an anti-cheat, we are going to require the use of FRAPS to record all your games for the duration of the tournament. You can download fraps here - http://www.fraps.com/
There is an FAQ on their website that answers many questions you may have if you have never used fraps before - http://www.fraps.com/faq.php
This is not open for discussion and all players will be REQUIRED to record their games and if a dispute is made, we will require you upload the video to either a file hosting website or youtube or send it directly to us.
We hope this result in a clean tournament so as the true best team can in fact win and be sent to the Grand Finals.

Sounds like a plan. Casually recording 40 minutes or so of footage. Not going to take up the rest of a hard drive or anything.
not unless you have a horrible hard drive... I still have 700 GB of hard drive space on this shtty comp.. lmao -
Good luck, but I'm sure that they're not requiring you to record at 100 FPS or something. Just record at 3 to 5 FPS. Technically, you're still recording game play.
I doubt you can record 3 ~ 5 fps with Fraps

the way fraps works is: w.e you record with is what the fps youll be playing with in cf
ex: record @ 100 and youll be playing with 100 fps (if you actually get that fps without fraps running)
you cant record less than 40 fps with fraps anyways. So whoever has a decent/bad computer, will have a hard time match time.

edit; NOTE: fraps is nowhere like growler, you dont control your settings besides little key things that wont help you in the long run. the best settings psossible would be : running fraps at 70 fps at half size (unless your pc can handle recording more than that) -

For me, when I record with my fraps, my mouse gets kinda sloppy and slow. It's annoying to play with fraps. -

yes just wanted to make sure before i said it but you said it first. yes fraps ****s with your sensitivity and possible mouse accel because thats what i notice

Im struggling to comprehend on how this was passed!?
Using fraps.. Are WCG endorsing piracy now? Because 30 seconds of footage with free fraps aint gonna cut it and Im 100% sure noone is going to buy it.
Recording is gonna drain your pc.. if you barely get 30 fps as it is... enjoy your framerates while recording.For me, when I record with my fraps, my mouse gets kinda sloppy and slow. It's annoying to play with fraps.

Also, I may be playing at 60 fps... but it wont feel like 60fps... that could seriously affect performance -
The WCG admin said to record at 10 fps or so, making it like 3-5 makes it too choppy, and if you have no spread it'd be hard to see.
the fact is if you record 10 fps youre fps in game will drop to the teens just because thats how fraps works.
you would wana record at what fps you get normally and maybe slightly lower.But there will be problems because fraps crashes, makes your sensitvity different, and etc
