PM system

I see this alot..use pm system...but my question is this...If you want to pm someone from game ...how do you know what their forum name is? Many times I have used the search and the name I am looking for does not come up...am I doing this wrong...or is there a way to search for a players IGN??

There is no way to search a players IGN and find out there Forum Name. Sorry.

That's why they created the PM system IN Crossfire as well. There is no need to search the forums in that case, just type in their name and send the message right there.

Ok thank you ...i know about the ingame one which is very limited ....but thought there was a way to do it on forums ..:)...you would have to pm someone ingame to find out forum name if you needed to send them something such as a screen shot etc..Sounds like alot of work lol

It's mostly for account privacy/security. Some like myself have the same name as their IGN but you can never be too sure, so its always best to double check.

Basically, if you need somebody, you probably know them on the forums for the sole reason that, why would you be posting a thread on the forum, if you knew they never went on the forum, and would never even see that thread? The majority of those types of threads are those which are directed at someone that can easily be accessible, or is known by the player.

If I wanted to PM somebody, I wouldn't make a thread with their name, and putting "Talk to me on XFire!" I would either A) Contact them on XFire, or

Wait for them to get on XFire.

If you don't know their forum name, a last resort would be to PM them in game.
