I really think this should be a choice. Sorry, but a knife is different from an axe, which is different from a shovel.

I'm sick of getting killed by lagging shovels/axes! Shovel is buggy as hell to begin with! Axe isn't much better. I suggest a few melee options.

ALL MELEE WEAPONS

Melee fighting is a joke in this game.

Not a bad idea but what if there was someone who wanted to join a knife only match but forgot to switch his equipped axe to knife? Then how would that work?

I've had this idea before (I never posted it on the forums before though). I'd sure like options for a specific melee weapon rather than all of them.

Well my friend had 94k/17k KD and 93k of his kills were with knife/shovel.
he told me 45k/94k of his kills were done with knife. He played this game only for Knife only.
He never complained about laggers and high pingers.

what would be fun is to have all the other melee weapons besides a knife to get damaged after every hit/wack, so when it becomes unusable you can throw it at someone and fight with your fists until you can pick up someone elses knife or shovel, etc.

Ive seen alot of legit knife players take on Axes/Shovels Etc and dominate them
like it was nothing

Desert Eagle is a gp item. Axe and shovel are zp items.
Anybody can buy a deagle axe and shovel are limited to players that have zp.

what i hate about most of the suggestions posted is that they have to be complaining and they dont think, AT ALL, did you ever think how much that is gonna reduce the zp bought, all non zp buying hosts will make a knife only match, therefore less less games with shovel/axes/kukris/katanas will be made, and those weapons wont be used a lot, which will reduce the number of people who buy them, and sides, if u really think its unfair then buy a shovel, another, if u learn how to use a knife and get all/90%+ headshots, then knifes can pawn anybody in sewers td, other than that, the idea is very stupid and no ideas posted in the suggestions will be made unless its posted by a gm.

Yeah. I honestly hate my shovel. It's easy kills but I find that when i use a knife I'm clueless! Of course then though when I try and train I'm always killed by aimbotting axe's, (You can't get a headshot with an axe while your crouching and when I'm at my highest point in a jump.) and lagging shovels.

in CF eu we have only knife. It's actually quiet funny.

The only bad thing about this would be that those item become worthless. If everybody disable them you can't use them anymore. I bought smoke and flash in cf eu but they are disabled in almost every game. I couldn't even use them once.

I don't see Team Deathmatch Games with "Shotgun Only", "SMG Only", "Assault Rifle Only", etc. Also, if this does happen, then what's the point in getting an axe/knife if it gives you no advantage over players?

But they do give you a so-called "advantage" (assuming you actually know how to use a weapon well) in games where they are allowed. For example, ghost mode. This knife only, axe only, etc. idea just adds options. If there's a game that doesn't allow a certain type of melee weapon, don't join it. It's simple, really!

The funny thing is...

I've already used the axe & shovel, you want to know what else? It's a HELLA advantage! Yes, it's possible to beat out the axe & shovel with knife, but that doesn't change the fact that both in video game & real life longer range weapons will win over short range most of the time. My point still stands.

Agree. Can't knife those damn shovelers or Kris'ers (I use the shovel myself... if I win it, and only win it)

Yea nice idea.

see : knife slash = 2 hits kill(head)
Stab : 2 hits kill body.

axe : slash = 1 hit kill(head)
stab: 1~2 hits kill

shovel : slash = 2 hits kill (body)
stab : 1 hit kill (body/head)

and kukri / kris is so noobs knifes i can't speak about it. i'm get rage when i remember this.

why don't it ?

a more powerfull GP melee
