login screen freezes untill the server disconnects me

i've just downloaded crossfire on my computer and have received error after error luckily being able to fix all of these but when i finally managed to get to the login screen (after waiting 5mins for game to load) it suddenly freezes ( i can move mouse and use keyboard) but it wont let me click in the boxes so i can put my details in... finally as it un-freezes and i get to type my details in it comes up with some message ("data transmission is not stable
Failed to submit player info to server please try again.") and when i click ok it redirects me to the desktop...

ive tried re-installing
game booster
restarting my pc several times straight after but still it does the same thing

im runnin on windows xp home edition service pack 3

HELP ME PLEASEE !!!
