I don't know about things now, but back in the day I stayed out of the competitive scene for three reasons.
Firstly, because I didn't want to invest the time.
Because of the egotism of the so called "good players".
And because, my personality never really fit with any team. -
hmm take it this way some of the pubstars that want to go competitive cant due to all the egos/pros wont give them a chance.
Some of them dont know where to go.
and the big majority isnt wanted due to there not "known" players.
Im sure if the competitive scene wasnt full of big big egos im sure some of the pubstars would consider it

Well my answer to that is I have a team. IF you think you aren't good enough to play competitive but want to... apply. If you don't want to leave your clan but still want to learn to be good enough just get on our mumble and I will teach you what I can whenever you are on.

IF you don't know where to go come into the mumble or apply to the team. Either way I will explain everything to you. Show you spot calls maybe get you into a team (can't promise it would be some amazing team, but I do have a lot of friends.) -

Congratulations, you two have managed to not only derail this thread, but do the exact opposite of what was intended and that was to show that not everyone in the competitive community gets mad all the time and rages at people. There was absolutely no need to resort to using langauge and insulting one another. -

biggest problem is that competitive playing is a sport, but most of pc gamers never done any sport before - so sportsmanship is just a dictionary word for them.. -

Most people prefer to pub with competitive rules because it keeps the game balanced even in pubs. Sure, you can't wear your star. But you also don't have to deal with m12, scar light, and (mostly) laggers. -

Its not about star, its about stupid diks who try to kick you even in pubs cause u have a star char, this is the top notch arrogance and stupidity.
And people cry about everything, SL, M12, lagg, tank -this is fine, those things suck hard)
but crying about char with same hitboxes ? crying about crouching, crying about jumping, crying about spraying, crying about zooming, crying about camping, crying about using m700, crying about about using m16 (insert all guns) crying about crying (ye wdf, they cry, u tell them to be quiet and then say QQ to you
)
So long time ago i ve found out, that it does not matter what you do, people will allways cry and stupid will remain stupid.
So i do everything now, cept SL, m12, lagg and tank.
So, it really doesnt matter if something is balanced or not, people just ruin the game by crying.
Imagine this : Ill use m16 and call everyrone else in the room NOOBs.
(If u chose to play pro weapons, that require skill, dont cry about people who openly admit, they got no skill if they use noob guns, its just our personal ego boosting option not to use noob guns, it has nothing to do with the players using noob guns. Its our choice. -

Although concerning the eu community, after the immaturity tonight, doubt it'll get any better so I can't be bothered now.

While reading through these 18 pages a thread, ive notcied many common facors in posts (3 to be exact)
1. ''I don't have time to play competetively''. This point has already been adressed by Polleus. Playing competetively doesn't mean you have to play more; take all your pubbing time and convert it into practice and scrimming time and I am sure you''ll improve in know time
2. ''Competetive players are all jerks''. Don't generalize an entire community of hundreds of players based off of what some have said in e-8 pubs (which isnt even competetive). I know i've snapped at people in pubs when its a bad day, doesn't mean everyone else will. Don't let the few dozen bad apples in the community ruin your chance to enjoy yourselves, because contray to your beliefs, competetive CF is indeed fun.
3. ''I'm too bad to go competetive''. No one is good when they first start. My first competetive team was knocked out of WOGL s1 in their first game. But i got help and improved greatly. If you want to go competetive but are afraid of just being outright terrible, find an established team or group of individuals that is willing to help you improve. #2 I agree completely... I was told I sucked a million times and I eventually got to average. It would have been easier if instead of just being told I sucked people would have told me I sucked and then how to improve. That's what I'm trying to do.
