Here's how Z8Games can eliminate most hackers from Cross Fire
in Suggestions
Limit One account per IP address. Lets say that person gets reported and is banned, then he/she will have to go to the trouble of changing IP addresses. Not only is the account banned, but also, the IP, so if he/she switches to another IP they must also create another account.
Now what if a legit player wants to login from another network, which uses a different public IP? Solution is: nothing, if they know their password and username, then no matter what IP is used they should connect. However, even if they randomly get an IP that has beened banned already, the server should check if the account is also banned or not.
Banning priority goes to the accounts, while banning an IP with the " One account per IP policy", one must go through the trouble of getting a new IP, and making a new account.
At least this reduces most of the "noob" hackers who don't know how to switch IP's, and makes it harder for the more advance hackers to get back into the game after being banned.
Now, what could be really amazing is if it's possible for the crossfire app to save a "ban/hack log" in the computer (usually not accessible, to integrate these logs with a component of the game), so when someone is actually banned and they create another account, the game will then go through the logs to check if "the computer" was banned or not during such a time period.
So it's triple the reinforcement, and remember most games even if they are uninstalled, they still leave registry entries behind, which is another advantage for the game to introduce a "stealth-like" approach to eliminating hackers.
Hope these suggestions will come in handy one day

They just needa DO Ip ban. and actually ban people.
Yep and not after many many chances, but like after the first ban if they don't learn then IP ban them.
Although z8 denies this and says it is discrimination/racism banning the known hacking regions would make this game playable and enjoyable.
For instance I saw one 60 ping hacker today and the rest were in the 155/600+ ping range, about 40 hackers in total usually shooting through walls or aimbotting.
So if these problem regions were restricted I would of seen 1 hacker - kinda of like AVA. -
One account/user per IP address would kill the enormous Crossfire-in-lancafe business that goes on in poor countries where having a state of the art PC next to your bed isn't a reality.
And of course no brothers would be able to play from the same place (and my neighbor wouldn't be able to play since hes stealing my wlan) -
For one, IP Banning is done for bans. For two, the automatic banning that bans for 7 days indeed does ban cheaters permanently. Once they're banned once, they're tagged. When they log in again with the cheats, they're banned again, and eventually, the auto ban system permanently bans him. That's what I've known for the last 6 months or so.
Finally, LAN parties, LAN events, and such would be completely messed up as everybody would have to play from a different IP. -
NO!
I have 2 accounts, 1 is my main and another i share with some friends for buy weapons and etc..
I know many ppl that play cf in "Internet Coffes", that the guy pay for play games such as crossfire.
They should make IP Ban, but they'll lose money since there are many ZP Consumers using hack =/ -
creating new accounts only by invite of trusted members? If the guy they invited uses hacks they can't invite for a week or month.
I don't know about you guys but I can change my IP by reconnection to the internet. The IP ban wouldn't stop ppl from hacking for a long time.
What do you guys think about this? A hacker gets a IP Ban and he can't log in but the game doesn't tells him that he has a IP, it only gives some random error. Maybe something like "Error Code 2436[+ random numbers]". This will annoy the hacker cuz he don't know why he can't join, if it would say "your IP is banned", then he can change it.
And if someone ask this here in forum the admins automaticlly now he is a hacker. Make the Error Code start with 2436 (or any other numbers) and then some random numbers (every time different). So if someone says something like "I can't start cf, I get this error "error code 24364562"" the admins know he is a hacker because of that number. They could ban him again. -

Yea you guys are right,
if your connecting through a network that has a router it would cause some problems, especially if someone on the network gets banned then anyone new cannot create new accounts.
Yea so the best approach would be HARDWARE to implement a "Cheat or Ban" check in the game (ON THE COMPUTER) no matter what account is used. Because it is assumed that whoever was banned on "that" computer is likely to try to get un-banned with another account no matter what IP is used.
Hackers would have to rely on OS re-installs, virtual OS's, or just advanced programming to get passed the "Ban" checks on the game/client. -

your neighbor is smart person -
you obviously don't know that your ip changes once you've been offline for a certain amount of time (normally a few hours)
so you want to make a new account every day after you turn off your computer for the night?
yeah.... don't think that's going to work.
plus they already do IP bans (even though it's pointless). -

This is a horrible idea. What happens if your account gets hacked? You can't play anymore? What if hackers use a proxy? They still could get another account.
accounts only get "hacked" if you're stupid enough to give out your account information, or you downloaded hacks and got keylogged. -
