  • 1 Error:

Put in it the fan section.

But overall, there were little effects, but thats fine, seeing that you are a beginner, and I have absolutely no knowledge about editing. The frags were good. But maybe you could take out the bottom part of the replay. It annoys me. Somehow.

I thought I put it on barracks, if a mod sees it and would like to move it, no problems.

Like I said I am new, I tried slow motion, didn't really like the blur.

Thanks, and I don't know how to get the bar off, I don't like it either.
  • Crop out the bottom bar of the clips.
Quit using the slow-mo so gratuitously.
    Use flash forwards in moderation.
Have the clips time in the music.

A general rule is: Less is better, but you haven't really done anything with these clips aside from the slow mo and flash forward.

Also, posted in the wrong section.

This is my favorite video so far in terms of gameplay videos. You don't need overly flashy things to make a good video. Just mix up the camera angles here and there, use some music you really like and make the clips flow with it.

Like the feed back, and that video was amazing. He obviously knew what he was doing... I literally have almost no experience w/ video editing. I'm a certified computer tech, going to school for computer engineering... but I haven't done anything w/ video editing and it's something that interests me. Do you think I should invest in a class or two or just simply keep practicing on my own?
  • i havn't heard this song since the last time ive played guitar hero.., Whats it called again?

Computer Tech guy here, just in High School still. 3 years of Computer Techs definitely helping in gluing computers back together, but not a ton of anything else. I'm taking a Multimedia Tech class for my Senior year this year and it's definitely helping creatively, so yeah, I'd recommend something like that I suppose.

Maybe take the cheaper route first and see if you can't learn anything off some online tutorials or a book or something.

    Take the bottom bar out
Sync the music with the kills
Try and use different angle instead of just first person
And try editing a bit more than just slow motion
Try and reduce the in game sounds as well.

It was all right for a beginner, keep going you can only get better.

Yeah, I must have assembled over 50 computers from scratch, I've worked at computer shops fixing them but as far as doing anything creative.... nothing. I might just keep doing stuff on my own, maybe practice and watch a few tutorials and get better then if I'm still interested possibly take a few courses.

Do you know how to get rid of the bar? and which setting do you render as to get better quality? I'm using Fraps and Sony Vegas which seem to be the programs of choice by many.

    Thanks

It should say on the bar "Press this ____ to turn off" but I'm not sure i don't use replays that often.
On a side note you could always record in game or get the people playing to record in game if it doesn't affect there FPS too much.

Also i don't know much about rendering you would have to ask people in the fan works section, they know about all that stuff in there.

I found out I had to press DEL to get rid of the bar, I will try my best on upcoming montages. Thanks for your input
