I've already said I'm making a team. I don't have many people on it, how man friends do you have?CrackinDomes wrote: »I have came to notice I always play a bit better then my last login after a break. Quit for 8/9 months on CF. Came back and didn't lose a thing and had improved.
Never really practiced for myself so to say. Be more so getting the rest of the team organized.
But when playing with my team or against my team. I usually know when they gonna play aggressive/passive etc. Since I've been around them about two years. I know how they play it more so do they really pay as much attention as I do to things.
Also I have thought bout trying to join a league team. Just to see how it would go. I'm not amazing but I'm far from the worst. -
we have lives. we have jobs that are more important then a game. Most of us dont like to be serious about a game that is meant for fun.
Yes we hate playing with hackers and m12s/scar L but we just want to have fun and not have to worry about making it to a mach and practicing more often. -
Why would you ave to worry about those things? If 5 are on go find a scrim. Why practice? Scrims are practice so have fun while you get better and not have to deal with cheaters and m12swe have lives. we have jobs that are more important then a game. They would be my main go to guys.
To be honest I would take people who work together well over people who are amazing but can't be gotten along with. Offer is up I guess if you want to try scrimming and such. -
No one saw my post at the top of the page I guess. RE-POST!
"Everyone has a life. Everyone has things they are doing on a daily basis that doesn't include gaming. Everyone has a hobby or school. So do a lot of the best competitive teams and players in the world (in other games of course). So why can they do it and not you? Just curious." (Inferring that attitude or lack of want is the problem, not your life)
The competitive nature is enough to make a lot of people not want to be a part of it. What Muffin is doing is trying to correct the misconception that being competitive is a bad thing. It's not. Give it a try and you'll see it can be quite a bit of fun.
Then again, so many people have played to the point in public games to where they think they are good. Then when it comes time to play a better team and lose, they get angry and frustrated. A lot of people would rather play lesser skilled players and do better at it. That's just how it is. -
Ight. Let me talk to my buddy. Run it passed him. See if he has an alt to move. Cause I will alt. My main hasn't logged in since 12-31-2010.

Ya see my problem was even if we came across serious teams etc. I would be the one trying to carry my team. Which that would be whats frustrating to look up 30 seconds in and its a clutch situation every time.[MOD]Polleus wrote: »

That about the only thing that bothered me.
Guess maybe break away from my clan with an ALT. Try to get my one buddy to ride out with me and check the COMP side out. -
I don't play competitive because I don't have the rig for it. Also, I lack any WOGL/ESL approved weapons. All my weapons except Ruger MINI-14 and Mk.23-S are BM weapons, and I don't have any golden weapons for the gold tourny.
Also, I noticed some of the tournies (A while ago) required a 10K ZP entrance fee for the team. I can't afford ZP often, so I don't want to spend it on that.
If I had the rig for it, and I had the weapons, I'd be doing the tournies. I am, in my opinion, a player with decent skills, and rarely get a real, serious challenge in pubs. And the occasional challenge I do find is hardly worth it.
Hope this answered your question. -

All those BM guns, you never bought a gp gun? Use an AK silver or something, doesn't matter THAT much.
Just ask before the scrim starts if they care.
As for the rig... how bad is it? Unless it is 10 frames you should be fine... -

And I bought GP guns.. But.. When I won the AK-CAMO.. My addiction started.. Sold all of my GP guns for crates, all except my AWM.. DSR came out, got that and fell in love. Sold AWM to get crates. Now I have only three GP guns. I forgot to mention the DSR I still use.
I get a fine FPS. I'm usually running at a solid 60-80 FPS with a 38-45 ping. The problem is the damned black screen issue.
Also I was talking about getting into the WOGL and ESL tournies. I don't have any guns approved for them. -
Why set times? Make your team the people who are all normally on at similar times. And just let them get better together. Forcing players with different schedules to be the team just because they have better aim is often a worse idea than people with potential and a schedule that matches.
No the default play time for wogl was friday at 8:00 and not one team was flexible with that time they would not play at any other time -

Black screen issue is happening to everyone. Not a big deal lol.
Oh and I know plenty of BRs who speak english. -
My reason:
Can't find the competitive Ghost Mode scene.
^^ This.
Ive found that a lot of clans Ive been in can't play competitive because of timezones (New Zealander) and another clan i was in didn't want to enter a competition because of the registration cost. -
I would love to play competitively but there are a couple problems that I find in trying to do so:
1. I find it very hard to set up a time to play because my job has me come and go at random hours. This also requires me to sometimes up and leave in the middle of the game. Which is not fair to my team nor the other team that is expecting a good game.
2. I find it very hard to find groups that will wont run us over because they no life the game. I find the bar is set pretty high and there is not really (for lack of a better term) "normal" level groups.
3. Even though there are anti-hack systems in place in the leagues, there are still hackers. There is always a way around it. So why go through the difficulty of joining the league if the out come is still the same as a pub with hackers?
4. It is much easier to just jump into a pub at random then set up a competitive match.
5. I like using some of the guns that are banned by the leagues rules and I do not agree with all there rules.
6. Sometimes I just want to join a room with my clan and have fun no matter what side they are on.
7. It is hard to find good help. By that I mean, if im going to put the effort in to join a competitive match, I want someone who is a decent player or knows how to listen etc. etc. etc. and you have to admit you may be able to find someone who is awesome in pubs and clueless in competitive matches.
I think that is all if I think of anything else i will post more later -
Its just that if u play competive, u kinda feel like u gotta do good, and if u dont do good then it wont make fun.
This is the misconception. This is the opinion that gets conveyed because a lot of competitive players make it out this way. You do not have to be a standout player to be competitive. The problem I've noticed is that players/teams expect instant results. They think they went out and got the best players they could and expect to do pretty well. When they lose, they don't try to figure out how to do it better next time, they just quit. There's no drive to get better, they just expect to be good from the start. That's not always how it works. Good teamwork takes time. Good teams need good leaders who understand that, not leaders who expect glory and riches in their first season together. -
