About the UK5 new level requirement.

Can't understand you guys, you wanted a high level requirement for a server, and now that you could enjoy a game with less rookies/"alt-account cheaters" you don't make its proper use.
I know that you've asked for a Second Lieutenant - Only server, but this is an experiment. If this turns out to be a success the rank requirement may be changed to Lt. Though if nobody plays in there but a few dozens of players then the rank requirement will be reversed again to Trainee.
Just a little heads-up.

If they change it back, it will remain a ghost server. If they increase the rank requirement to 2LT and up maybe they will see an influx of players going to that server. IMO staff sarg to sfc isnt enough to encourage people to use the server. Then again its still early days, maybe slowly people will migrate. But you think by adding a +GP or +Exp for a temp time to the server might get people to migrate over? Just an idea. -

i would play at least TD (not minding the lag) but there is no one playing there actually.
i think every forumer should raid that server and tell their friends to join it too...
or make a vid telling ppl to join there.
i mean i really want to play there, i think a little something bonus would help the server to get more ppl...
like +5% GP and +5% Exp...
or maybe +10% GP.

But wouldn't that defeat the purpose?
It was requested by the community to prevent low rank hackers from getting in and Z8 wanted to see if people use it, they don't want it filled, they want to see if it works else they could just add 50% GP up and fill it within a hour. -
It amazing how Z8 listens to the community and gives a go at something, then certain people come in here complaining that z8 dont listen. Sure its not the Lt or higher patch you want but its a start. Baby steps. Tonight's patch was something that came up today. It's not like the community isnt announced about each patch.

Maybe that is because it is implemented in a half-assed way, then z8 will use the results to determine whether it's a good solution or not.
A server for each region would of made sense or alternatively ask those that wanted it where they would like it, since they'll be using it.
Great server but in the wrong region (and I'm from the UK), and if it fails that doesn't mean we don't want/need one, because I for one would use it if it was in the right location. -

We do. Everything in this game cannot always be about adding incentives.
We looked at the levels of players in the game. A very large majority of the players who met the level requirements for UK5 decided to still play on other servers.
We are working on bringing more knowledge about this particular change out, it was changed at the same time we were using our forums to communicate larger things.
Additionally we were under the impression through numerous forum ideas communicated through us on these forums and from the players on the servers themselves that a higher level requirement server would have been a welcomed addition.
In this particular case it's still a welcomed addition. That no one is bothering to use.

This server update is server-side only. Requires no additional marketing or build-up. Either this patch goes live, or it doesn't. It was our feeling that it would be better served putting it up today, rather than waiting until after the XFire event. (since servers being down for extended periods of time during this event would not please the people competing in the event) -

He would probably want a server located at a higher ping than him because he has the common sense to know that the majority of players of CF play in NA servers. He want's that server in another region to because he knows that the majority of the community plays in NA SERVERS. Your data, charts, and graphs are upside-down i think =/. -

We do not need incentives see here where I argued against them. I suspect they would choose to play on unrestricted servers for a few reasons;
1) They are used to what they are used to and don't want to change
2) I am not calling the players stupid but very few give thought to avoiding hackers.
That is why I thought if a rank restricted server was added it would be a NA server, since I suspect most players suggesting rank restricted servers were not from the UK. It is very welcome addition, a dream come true in fact. but... it's in the wrong place for me personally and more players would utilise it if it were a NA server. Also that is what I have been saying you'll assume from this server it is an unwelcome addition and not needed but it is just in the wrong place.

It is better that this hack maintenance goes a head right away even if it only dents the hacking, because delaying it is pointless and personally I don't care that it was at short notice, but others do and although it is no biggy it might had been nice if more notice had have been given.
Having said that I understand the hack fix (I assume) was found today hence the late announcement. Because for use mere players we have to make choices just to play relatively normally.
And although Z8 might not like what I am about to say that is a choice of playing with Turks/Egypts (UK servers) Brasilians (NA servers) and all the things that come with them including excessive kicking and hacking.
