To all the brs, gers, na, and any other pub clans.
Why don't you give playing competitive a shot? I'm sure out of the sixty members your clans all have on average at least 5 of them are interested in playing leagues and just being competitive. If I may ask what holds you back?
Do you not know who to ask or where to go?
Does the communities attitude hold you back?
I'm really curious and this thread is for basically everyone, 99% of you guys on the foru era hate - scar light, m12, cheaters and playing with people who don't speak your language. Almost all of those are fixed by just going and playing a few scrims against teams or pinning it out in echo 8 or whatever else.
Doesn't it seem logical to just go do it? There really is nothing that any of us have against you, some of the competitive community will flame, call you a pubstars, or whatever else. But there are just as many of us who would pop in your vent or mumble and help you out, explain strays go over things you are doing wrong and answer any questions you might have.
So let's hear it, why don't you play competitive?

Maybe they dont want to?
maybe they just want to have fun playing this game?
What leads you to conclude that it isn't fun? I didn't say wow you have to stop punning and do nothing but practice! Pub all you want, but if a couple of you are curious ask around, get a scrim going maybe participate in wogl or something. -
Well, there are some of us that want to play for fun. While there are some of us that can be very competitive, Not all of us have "All the Time In the World" to spend it on CrossFire.
I mean, if you want to spend 5 hours practicing to be good at one thing, go ahead. I have other things awaited for me than learning how to time things correctly for a single kill in an e8 S&D.[L] Stands for Legit. -
Probably because they have no need to satisfy their egos by being competitive on a poorly run game and play for fun only.
I do real things that matter to satisfy me and play CF in my spare time for fun.Their scared... because of people like me.
Nuff said jajajajaja -
Who said anything about belong your egos by playing competitive? People play competitive for plenty of reasons. Why spend 5 hours practicing? Spend like an hour after work doing a quick scrim while you're drunk as **** and have a bucket of laughs.
You complain about things you hate in pubs but the solution is right in front of you and you refuse it because you have misconceptions about what the competitive community is. -

Well maybe some people don't really feel pressured when going into a competitive match...
Unless you are like me who get anxious when you play WOGL or something.... -

That's my point, why get rid of your friends and members? If a few people in your clan want to go competitive let them be the competitive representation for your clan. Not everyone has to play, but why lose members over it. Your friends don't want to leave, but they may want. To play competitive. Let them stay in your clan and make a team with a few players in your clan while everyone else pubs it out. -

I dont understand your point here. There is no need to be anxious or pressured. A scrim is a scrim. It is a learning tool to get better. Would you rather play pubs with cheating players using m12 and lagging around. Or people who speak the same language using fair guns and who are actually a challenge because they aren't awful players? -

Well, some people like to be competitive and want to have a big head about it as well; Maybe not everyone in the clan, but it's pretty much asking why people fart in public areas; Some people do it, while some people don't.
It's based on their opinions, and are likely to be kept that way. -

How can you form a valid and logical opinion if you have never done it? You can't say "that rollercoaster is awful because my friend told me it was" when all of the people on the rollercoaster are screaming with excitement an having fun. -
Casual gamers are casual
I'm an lt in a team name casual. Which pubs casually. I'm also a semi competitive player who scrims now and then. If I can be both why can't you? I prefer scrimming because I know #1 I won't be killed by some kid spraying an m12 crossmap. #2 I won't get 5kd through a wall. #3 I won't get kicked for getting a 2k. -

Hello,
Finally a constructive and free of hate post, my number one reason to play just for relax pubs is the community attitude in general, the game is nice, but the level of maturity and ethics of a huge percentage of the players, is a BIG let down. Thx for trying to help. -

I'm inclined to agree, the attitudes of a good part of the community are rude and uncalled for. However not all of them are that way, and the thing is the more players that come in with good attitudes that want to be better players and have fun scrimming and possibly entering a league later the less of a majority the rude players become.
It starts with you guys, the community builds the community. -
People got life's the rather work and get some money than spend time on a game and get a headache...
Being a little bite b!tchy about it I know but because I find the whole so called competitive side of gaming a little bite ridiculous
People take it way to serious and act like all knowing pro gamers with a ego so big it's just mind f4cking
If the see people pub screenshots here there ego comes out and start screaming like 13 years old against a player that just wanna play for fun.....
I really hate competitive gamers -
You've seen my PC specs
I wouldn't load until half way trough the game.
Plus I'm still using the ball track mouse that came with my PC and my mouse pad is torn.
I plan on replacing those soon.
Clan wise, we mainly play knife games, and that isn't to popular in the competitive world.
Not to mention I am horrible at this game. -

Yeah I do too, I have school and activites there is nothing wrong with hanging out with a few friends and getting a scrim going. In fact it is more fun than pubbing to me. It may not be the same but this thread wasn't really for those people. It is more for the lubbers who are curious about scrimming and playing competitive. -
I have thought about it over the 2 years I have been playing.
Just between work, girl friend, my daughter.
Don't have as much time to sit down and get the necessary practices etc in.
I'm sure I could get a solid 5 together but we all have personal lives too.
On top of we all work different times/shifts.
Have thought about it though. -
That is a common problem, but to be honest practice isnt needed IMO as much as everyone makes it out to be. Knowing your team mates and knowing how they play from scrimming experience IMO is as valuable as any practice you have. Putting in a couple of hours on the entire weekend is usually enough for basic competitive play. You won't be the best, but you will have mad fun especially once your teammates become your friends.

Why set times? Make your team the people who are all normally on at similar times. And just let them get better together. Forcing players with different schedules to be the team just because they have better aim is often a worse idea than people with potential and a schedule that matches. -

Never really practiced for myself so to say. Be more so getting the rest of the team organized.
But when playing with my team or against my team. I usually know when they gonna play aggressive/passive etc. Since I've been around them about two years. I know how they play it more so do they really pay as much attention as I do to things.
Also I have thought bout trying to join a league team. Just to see how it would go. I'm not amazing but I'm far from the worst. -
Everyone has a life. Everyone has things they are doing on a daily basis that doesn't include gaming. Everyone has a hobby or school. So do a lot of the best competitive teams and players in the world (in other games of course). So why can they do it and not you? Just curious.
