Pinpointing?

Can someone kinda teach me how?
My ign is the same except no 1.
One thing though, wouldn't you think someones behind you? I listen for footsteps when defusing a bomb, but when people do this in like mid-match how can they pinpoint without getting killed? Noob team maybe?

I learned with a scrub light i picked up in hakencruez then i went practicing took me like 3 days

Reading about the basics will help then practice on some willing subject.

Tracking down something by the noise it makes, Footsteps-Switching weapons for SnD, and Breath for GM.

In the extreme form: Locating a stationary ghost by breath no matter where they are (aka wall hack:)).
