This isn't true.
Suppressed weapons help a lot because you can continue PPing/Trying to while shooting, using a non suppressed weapons wont allow this.
Most ghost mode players have loud weapons , it doesnt matter if you can pinpoint accurately , but if you have breath down and steps down they cant hear you that well when you b hop -

That's why you go off alone, that's how i play.
Usually once you shoot near a bhopper they get worried and run at you. -
GR would be toooooooooo easy without bdown, you can still hear bdown users even if they are bhopping, most of the time i will play with friends in the room and they are all good and if some noob m60/rpk etc. sprayer comes along they are asked to change weps or they just get kicked. People who spray like nubs shouldnt even be in gm so its their own fault :P
An option to turn bdown off would just ruin the mode completely for the good grs, it is not challenging in the slightest without bdown (even with bdown most people are still no problem, there are a select few people who are good) -

I mean for God's sake! whats next? A hat that makes them stay invisible???
Oh poor you.
You can still hear their breath and footsteps. Grab yourself a headset (any cheap one will do) and turn the volume up a little bit.
As for staying invisible, we are abusing a bug the the developers refuse to remove which allows us to "bunny-hop".
My personal chunk of advice to you: If you can´t handle it, don´t play. Nobody is forcing you too. After all gaming is supposed to be a form of ENTERTAINMENT!
Then again, some people take this game WAY too seriously. Just have fun and enjoy the GAME! -
as most said it here GR would just be too easy, the fact that GM was balanced when bdown didnt exist was that there where hardly any bhopper's/pinpointers(atleast in OB days, and in the quality we got today)
right now GM community as evolved and is too good to reg breath (still one can fend off with BD but it its a quite daunting task, especially with knife), if u dont like it grab a buncha friends and play ur rules -
Cold_Fingers wrote: »this thread doesn't want your opinion of balance. you can't say no to the idea because YOU think no BD is too easy for GR.
he is suggesting an OPTION. he is not forcing low breath out of GM. if you think BD is needed for ghosts, than you could still go play in BD allowed rooms. not every body has good headphones/sound card. this way every one can enjoy the mode the way they see fit.
options are better than no options.
well there is no option to create no bdown rooms, so we are obviously not the onlys ones who think no BD is too easy for gr! Clearly z8/sg agree with us too or they would of made that option a long while ago. -
have some PATIENCE , to become good @ Ghost Mode takes time ...TSmoothKey wrote: »Seriously... could the GMs PLEASE add an option in GM to disallow breath/steps down??? TIP : gamma-100 / sound-100 , & learn to utilize SmoKe -
It's one's right to play with/without a certain object. It's like asking people to not play with an M12s or SL. It can't be helped; Once they get it there's a low chance that they're going to use something else.
If you can't handle it you can just leave the game or learn to handle it. -
Hitman_XLVII wrote: »Not the same , the supressed weapons arent as useful as breath downIts EXACTLY the same. Both reduce the sound you make to improve your chances against your opponent. Whether you're bunny hopping or pin pointing, it doesn't matter. Essentially making as little noise as possible is important on both sides. And both "Noise Down" items, as well as suppressed weapons help in this matter.

It isn't very hard to keep killing because those who buy slow down breath and footsteps are noobs who can't score kills or
pros who have everything they want and they have so many GP and they dont know where to spend them.
Mostly the pros buy exp+ items because they dont need to be silend
So? Only noobs spend their GP at items that are not permaned and as long as they are noobs the are easy to kill (most of them dont even know that when they dont move they are invisible)
And also that what you say about a hat to make them invisible when they move is something imposible to happen so calm down (if this happen i will stop playing Ghost Mode) -

Youre from Hell, one of the best GM clans I've seen around, and youre going to complain about Breath Down?
Really?
Do you cry about "campers" killing you as you walk out of the top vent at A too?
Sad day indeed.
Sir i am not QQing about breath down. But by your statement about bringing a knife to gun fight. That just made me lol. -

Well good, that was the sole intention of that post... I mean how many times in your life can you use the ol' "brought a knife to a gunfight" cliche!
Sorry about the misinterpretation, I just didn't like being inferred to as stupid for no good reason ;p -
