Scientists at CERN have found particles moving faster than light.
An international team of scientists said on Thursday they had recorded sub-atomic particles traveling faster than light -- a finding that could overturn one of Einstein's long-accepted fundamental laws of the universe.

I'm very skeptical. It must be some sort of measurement error.

You can't, nothing with mass can travel faster than the speed of light.What happens if you turn on your headlights whilst moving faster than the speed of light?
(As I understood it, tachyons have negative mass, or if "negative mass squared" implies something else, idk) -

They don't want it to be true, as it would render most of what we know about physics today useless, or not as dominant as it once was. Many, many different things have been formed with the fact that light is the fastest thing that exists [traveling in a vacuum]. Once example is Einstein's E=mc^2 which would still be useful, but wouldn't be as dominant.
While Einstein's theory of light could be wrong, most of his other theorums, theories, and speculations could still be valid, that light still is amazingly fast. Don't forget, light moves at 3.00x10^8 without any particle acceleration.

I was probally the first person to read this article, by accident lol... then hear my science teacher talk about it 4 days later. -
I need to get this confirmed before I agree that something can travel faster than light.
I still believe that light is the purest form of energy, and since it requires energy to move something an object with a mass can never be faster than pure energy.
The only logical reason imo is that they did a miscalculation or that the neutrinos did a little jump in spacetime. -
