game doesnt start

hi

i downloaded a fresh copy of Cf client (version 1073)from the z8 site . i installed the client and i patched the Xtrap. when the game starts it crashes
erorr: client file coruption closing client.
i reinstalled the gamefew times it doesnt work what should i do?

What anti-virus are you guys using?

Anyway, it got to be something to do with the anti-virus.

Follow these simple steps. It might help.

- Uninstall the game completely
- Disable your antivirus' realtime protection
- Redownload the game
- Install the game
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection

This is similar to the previously mentioned "File is changed" error. If your antivirus software's realtime scanner is active while you are downloading the game, it could result in corruption of the download.
