Server lag?
This started happening a couple of dags ago and it is getting annoying, so I wondered is everyone is getting this or just me:
I play games everything is normal, my ping is normal etc but every so often people teleport to me and kill me like there is a delay sometimes I notice a massive ping spike but the above happens when I don't spike too.
Also I am getting lots of "host errors" and I am being removed from games with "server full errors", even if it's wave 28 of ZM and I played all rounds (not very often) and even "idle" errors when I am playing (not very often).
Is this server related or just me? I have been thinking it was me due to the ping spikes but I'm not so sure now, so?

I read only barracks not tech. I know one other person that is reporting similar things.
So I need confirmation either way.
just brcause you read only barracks does not mean you should post only in barracks - there are diffferent forums for a reason..... -
I have to agree it's server-based.. Recently, whenever someone joins or leaves a game as well as random periods of times during the game, my whole game would freeze for 2 seconds. Doesn't seem like alot, but it's enough to die in close combat and in other instances...
I'm also having a black screen issue before I load in-game.. Even if I try to load in when the game starts, I end up coming in 1-4 rounds after the game starts in all modes.
Neither of these are a fault of mine.. My PC was running well before the patch.
I also kinda agree on placing this thread in barracks because unless it's something the MOD's know or have an idea of how to fix it, they will hardly if ever reply. Not saying that's a bad thing, you can only reply to what you know but somebody's gotta know. -

Sometimes this happens to me but mostly I get mini freezes and choppy game play, then it is ok until it happens again.
Do you get a ping increase up to 1000+?
And do you get any of the other errors mentioned? -
It is rarely server-sided. It does happen, but not as often as you are describing it.
There are a couple things that could cause a skip or freeze in the game.
-Hard Drive skipping
-CPU working far past it's usual load
-Poor connection
-Storms or constant lightning -

I was talking to someone from Canada today and they have the same issues, in fact I didn't even talk to them about my problem.
He just said for 2 days his ping has been spiking and the lag is horrible on CF - I told him "same here" and that I thought it was just me, and then he said no I play other games and they are just fine and I have fast net - so it's CF.-Hard Drive skipping

Nope it can't be that:
Harddrive is perfect.
CPU has 85% free even when CF is running and chrome.
50 MB net.
No storms. -

I don't keep an eye on my ping but as what I've seen, no.
It seems like they do teleport when my game comes back from freezing. Like a tape on fast forward except without seeing them forwarding. Just appearing and me dieing...
I do get some host error's every now and then but not very often. I think out of every 40 times my game froze, I had 1 host error..
I've never been dc'd from a ZM game but I have a few friends who have experienced the same thing and their ping is like in the 30-50's range. -
You are saying you get ping spikes?
If so, it might not be either your fault or Crossfire's, but the incompatibility of your connection/computer and Crossfire.
About 6 months ago I changed my internet services from digital cable to AT&T U-Verse. I had 200 ping constantly at certain times of the day. I swore up and down that it was my internet, since I had just switched, and started having the problem.
But when CF patched the next month, my ping went back to normal and I never had the problem again.
It's weird and I don't know what to tell you. Maybe it's something you'll have to wait out. -

Yes I do get ping spikes, however they don't explain the lag. Although I lag with 1000+ ping I am also getting my lowest ping ever in NA servers of 98 and at the times when it is 98 sometimes the game is still lagging and the same happens in UK servers with my 9 ping.
I will never change ISP either and have had the same one for 3 years and played CF during that time without issue. When people teleport up to me and kill me it's usually a BR - But now...
I tend to believe it's CF but I would need others to confirm it, because I don't entirely dismiss the notion that it could be me yet. -
Well recently I have experience times when the game would just freeze, then in a sec or two it would continue, when these have happened my friends said they experienced it too so I think it is server related. I have also experience a couple game crashes today

Have you noticed your ping spiking at all? My ping spikes but this only started after the game started lagging, spiking for me is not usual.
