I have enough noise with my server :PI've personally experienced nothing but trouble with ASUS Maximus boards, honestly, there's so much better out there, for lesser price.

Something like... NZXT Phantom Premium Gaming Case. That's what I ordered for my build. It's pretty large and fancy. -

I like standard white/black cases. Nothing fancy about them. As long as they are sturdy and have good construction it is perfect. -

It's pretty standard that some of the motherboards have been quality tested in reverse order, i.e. the DIMM slots have been undervolted > overvolted, and then left that way. Mine arrived brand new, volted at 2.4v, way above the safe zone for either DDR2 or DDR3 RAM. The bios safety feature only allows 15 seconds to make changes and save. Because of this I couldn't actually undervolt the board myself with my 1.4v Corsair RAM installed, or even my 2.2v OCZ. I had a look around the internet, only to find several other people had been experiencing this exact same problem. It appears ASUS had been severely slacking in their quality tests department. It's pretty much 50/50 that your board will work on arrival.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great board if you exclude the basic bios features and ASUS workers themselves, but it's really not THAT great a board to go through all that trouble for.
Also their default northbridge heatsinks often collide with water cooling, and fan cooling. You may have to choose between the two. -
