It takes me ages to make 6 wins in Desert Storm since I try to kick the hackers from my side.. but the other side keeps them for the win! How sad... -

2- This is a free game, you cant expect no haking.
3-3/4 the hacks listed are blocked by xtrap.
4- He clearly dosent recognize how bad gameguard was compared to xtrap.

We play the game on a daily basis and see whats going on. Yes people are stupid enough to hack in a GM made game. Yes they get banned on sight. We patrol games all the time.
Even this past weekend hundreds of bans were issued in game. Since it doesn't matter whether we announce it or not, the community on the forums will always take it as a negative, there's no point in posting these kinds of statistics. They fluctuate too much to be consistent and it never matters with the opinion of the community and the vocal minority that visit these forums.
The last X-trap update added something like 10-15 public hacks to automatic detection, as a result hundreds upon hundreds of bans were issued.'z8games isnt in charge of stopping hacks xtrap is'
The update time from Game Guard and X-Trap has been night and day. While we never saw more than 1 update in a 4-6 month period with GG, we often see multiple updates per week. with X-trap.'deal with it xtrap is doing a pretty good job compared to game guard'
Additionally, rolling over to a hack website and copy/pasting the "feature" list isn't decompiling a hack. While you are absolutely right in that decompiling the hack itself is not a very difficult task. But recoding the game to stop it is. The bypasses are in part a game code and an x-trap thing, and both parties know of the situation and of the bypasses.
In the time it took me to write this response. I could have been on the phone with the appropriate departments to discuss the situation within the game.'does no good to complain there are enough threads' -
Remember, there is a patch coming soon and with this new mode, there will be different scripts and .REZ files which even if X-Trap did patch before then, it would be obsolete in the next few days..
It's better for X-Trap to have a patch for those new scripts rather than making a patch for the cheats that will be obsolete in the next few days... It might not be convienent to the customers but if you had to build a wall that was going to be destroyed the very day after you made it because they're going to extend the land or something, then what's the point of building a good wall? Might as well make it out of something useless than out of stone or concrete because it's going to be torn down the day after..
I'm not fully defending X-Trap but they have made more progress than GG. I know, I was there... GG would be effective for a day or 2 and that was only because the game wasn't popular... If there were as many cheats now than there were back then, those patches from GG would be cracked within 1-2 hours.
When X-Trap releases a decent patch, it takes a few days to a week at least for the VIP cheats to break in. X-Trap was informed of this up-comming patch which is why they haven't made any concrete patches lately...
One more thing... When was there ever a working patch from a anti-hack in this game that came a day or a week before a CF patch? -

yet even with hundreds of bans and xtrap updates there r still unblocked hacks in every room. i applaud u for banning anybody but xtrap is crappy and u know it and everyone else knows it. i only copy & pasted as an example. i didnt ever talk about decompiling hacks i spoke about how easy it is to decompile and extract rez information to do whatever the hell u want.
i understand that no anticheat is 100% but the second xtrap patches more hacks are already out. the method they use is inefficient and utterly bad. u didnt need to reply to this thread bcuz u stated everything we already know. bans are being issued and u play the game. xtrap updates. again WHAT are they updating? they arent fixing the root of problem and its getting worse. tell them to start blocking more than just file by file. maybe actually write a code that LEARNS what to look for so if something is changed it can still detect similar files. its time to face facts. xtrap is not in the best interests of crossfire and u should stop wasting your time defending them.

Look people, Im also very fustrated about all the hacking issues but all of us know that most employees of z8games staff arent enought to ban most h3ckers, but you know what ****es me off...when u tell the other team that he hacks and then he goes omg noooob i dnt h3ck...I hopeee!! in the zombies patch xfire will also patch all of those wallers....

When you work for Mcdonald's you can't praise Burger King. Our daily jobs working on Cross Fire include many hours spent working on the anti-hacking situation.
While it might look like I spend a lot of time "defending" X-Trap, part of my job is to be here as a part of the community. We continually communicate with the right people, Neowiz, X-Trap, Smilegate etc. But unfortunately telling you that we work on these things (whether it's lobbying for different programs or not) is not good enough for you.
We'll never be able to announce "___ is coming on ___ day" because things change all the time. Or that some specific hack is patched etc.
No game company is going to be that hard stuck on plans and days to the public. Especially if they are a private company operating as a business. there is no need to, and it would get people into more trouble if the company promised something they couldn't deliver.
We are very aware of the situation within the game. We know there are a lot of hackers currently in the game. And that every time we get a leg up on them more hacks come out. This is a back-and-forth that is going to exist no matter what the situation is.
The reason these threads are useless is because you're looking for an answer you're never going to a) be satisfied with or b) physically get. -

i dont mean to sound like a hard ass. actually i do. but im not saying its the gms or g4boxs fault for the hacking situation but it should be their responsibility as the licensee to make sure the customers are receiving the best quality and game experience possible. the only reason why so many ppl play is because the game is free and frankly bcuz there are a lot of hackers and its easy to hack this game. for every 10 that are auto-banned there are 10 more that are going undetected. something has to change. saidin u are not getting yur moneys worth with xtrap. get rid of it. make something happen.

the answer i expect is that you are making strides to explain to neowiz that xtrap is not working as it should. u are working on "getting by" and patching hacks as they come along. between the trio of smilegate/neowiz/g4box something else needs to be done. xtrap isn't doing it. u are paying money for an anticheat that most likely eliminates less than half of the actual cheaters. that doesnt seem wrong to u? i guarantee u the next time xtrap patches i will go in not an hour later and the result will be the same. thats not wrong to u? i understand hacks will never be completely stopped but get something to bring the ratio down. this battle is ridiculous. -
