  • all these players so confident they can hide stuff
then the rest of them act like they never showered in gym class
its funny because cheaters are not smart people
  • Bad idea. First off all it makes you lag and if you have a slow computer your fps goes down to hell. The other thing is I don't want other ppl to see my personal stuff. I think it'll be enough when they can view your task manager only. The task manager shows all the running programs on your computer and if they use a hack it'll be shown there. There is no need to show your whole computer and by the way, you wont find it anyway.
  • LMAO dont run tv6 when your playing ROFL
our rule is comply or goodbye , we dont put up with all the QQ
we know EXactly what we are looking for
trust me we DO NOT want to see your Little Prepubescent Personals ............

just by how you talk down to people like that and think you are better than them i would not let YOU roam around my PC, plus you have no idea what age these people on the forum are so you shouldnt be saying stuff like that.

I wouldnt mind someone TVing me but i would have the options set to where they can only spectate and they can tell me where to go and what folders to look in over teamspeak, if you dont trust i dont hack why should i trust you roaming on my comp?
  • Yea, some dumbass leader kicked me out of clan because he thought I was hacking but no proof. If this thread was posted earlier, I think this might be a good way to prove: "You" are not that bad, I'm just that AWESOME!

it's fine, we would never just go to town in another computer, We ask first. Most team views have taken place while in Team speak as well. We ask before opening any file. But we go after Program files. Like Game drivers. Where we need to look there is no personal information.

    BINGO!!!
we have another winner. Yes this is why we use TV.
On the off chance that they hack, then we kick and report. So if any thing we are helping clean up the game for everyone.

I know you didn't quote me but I lost my honorable soldier ribbon for an accidental chargeback. Not having the ribbon is almost meaningless.

For the rest of the people saying "omg i got things from work/court docs"

YOU CAN SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND CLOSE AT ANY TIME. They won't be opening notepads or word docs. Just opening folders and looking at filenames won't reveal anything. Unless you're a complete idiot and name a file after its confidentials.

I'm not even in their clan, just seems fishy when you come up with the stupidest excuses.

we have players in clan without honorable soldier ribbon for the same kind of reason. We take the time to ask people why they lost it. Depending on the answer we may accept them into clan. However when a new player joins we play with them and watch for potential hacking, Like the way I think any good clan is doing.
  • This guy will get the dumbest idea of the year probably.
Why would I let you sniff around my like 2,000 IRL pictures to search hacks for a game? People have IRL stuff on their PC's (except if they are basement nerds suggesting team viewer for a free game, OH SNAP).

Cheaters are not smart people? Then how are they creating those specific cheats? OR if they're just people downloading them, how do you know all of them are dumb? It's like saying people in one specific country are all dumb, which is more likely not true.
  • The only answer so far that that on the surface seems reasonable is this:

"If you have nothing to hide what is the problem?".

This is the same excuse the government uses when they are about to ra*e civil liberties in exchange for making you 'safe' (don't laugh:)).

In many many years time the government may well want CCTV in your home to make everyone safe but "if you have nothing to hide what is the problem?".

So it's not about whether you hack or not or whether your a terrorist or not, nobody should be spied upon without valid reason.

I think the only acceptable use of Teamviewer would be if you had a clan member that hacked and you kicked him but he wanted back in and you let him but with the pre-condition he must/could be teamviewed at any time.
  • We do something similar, we make them use UAC3 its an anticheat program that scans your pc for hacks.... He has to play with good level for 3 weeks in every CW if he refuses we kick him
  • I guess people dont understand, for you to use team viewer on someone he has to agree, so this is not seen as spying or conducting surveillance since you have the aproval of the third person

What an idiot! This is not an assault on your civil liberties... It is simply one of a number of requirements that have to be met before being accepted into a clan. One CHOOSES to ACCEPT or to NOT ACCEPT the terms and conditions to join. Just like countless clubs, groups, unions etc. So give your soap box a rest noob...

great idea, I'll be looking into this as perhaps another tool against hackers. Thank you.
  • Teamviewer is a great tool for trying to keep clans clean.

A clan I was in in CA TVed it's members and still got some of the most hackusations ever though :(
  • nice to see the thread still alive
and other suggestions come our way
picky take it easy on chimpy there , I really like the guy
we dont check every one , just the guys who seem to be cheating
trust me , we find some stupid stuff , for instance hack programs in the recycle bin !!! LMAO
we wanna keep our hands clean
    I dont like them
most of us dont like them
and we dont have to put up with them.
its part of what makes our clan what it is
thanks to everyone for saying whatever the heck you wanted to on this subject
    have a nice day .....
  • I have pictures of me and my gf doing certain things on my comp. No way I want anyone seeing those.
  • Meh I like this idea lots even though Z8games staff already uses this method.

Your an idiot, we was talking about the excuse "nothing to hide bs", nothing else.

If you have nothing to hide drop your knickers? get my point?

Using that excuse you cannot have any privacy ever, for instance how could you argue against the government putting cameras in your home? If you do your probably a terrorist anyway according to that logic.

Any time anyone submits to voluntary privacy invasion that is completely up to them, but don't sugar coat it as being for your own good it's not.
  • You afraid your leader will see it? LOL
My leader? I JUST joined a clan, and haven't played for days. The **** are you on about, boy?

This sh1t is irritating. Everyone has arrived at the point time and time again displaying the knowledge and know-how of different ways to "cheat TV".

This thread became pointless 100 posts ago.
  • Invasion of privacy by some random guy over the 'net. And clan advert.

    'nuff said.

Approval under the threat of being kicked if you do not approve and accused of having something to hide if you don't agree .. yeh suddenly doesn't look as much as a fair choice !!
  • Ok...

This thread is talking about apples but a lot of people want to talk about oranges.

Ok chimp, I will start by saying if I had the previous post to write over I would have left out the calling you an idiot and noob part.
Second, we make NO excuses for how we run our clan, period.
Third no you havn't made even one valid point pertaining to this thread(and I'm not "dropping my knickersfor you, no matter how much you beg ;).
To try to address all the other dissenters:
This thread was started NOT to advertise our clan, we turn away more requests than we accept. We have actually more members than we can contain in one clan, so we have a second that is roughly half full, because even with our requirements people still want to join us.
Only a few people have been asked to ALLOW us to Team View their PC only either after members have been accused or when we feel we have reason to question their legitimacy and normally after watching replays. Then if need be, while they watch, only for the purpose of affirming they are clean, or if hacks are found they are kicked and reported. Or of course they can simply leave and refuse, we are not running a prison. We have members who have been accused by whomever and Team Viewed voluntarily, were found clean and remain in our clan. And we now can stand proudly behind them.
Another thing, I don't know of any program, website, application or game etc. that you dont have to agree to pages of, terms and conditions to join. Ours are reletively few and simple and serve first as a warning and hopefully a deterent to those who choose to cheat.
And lastly, this thread was started to share in part how we try to do our part to keep our community free from cheaters, liars, pretenders, and theives. To pass on to other leaders and even learn more from others, which we have.
Not to create a flamefest as some want to make of it. We do most of our fighting in-game...

There is nothing wrong with how the clan is run whatsoever.

In fact it is good to know that this clan would be relativity clean when compared to other clans, also I have played with your clan and can vouch for this, however the main thing I take issue with is the excuse of "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" because it is a false, and the only other thing is that I wouldn't personally join a clan that operates such a system.

Don't get me wrong, if someone wants to run a clan where the #1 rule is you must wear ladies under whilst playing and the leader/LT'S may want to check randomly via webcam that you are indeed wearing ladies underwear whilst playing then that is fine. Anyone is free to choose whether they accept the terms or not, so I won't argue against the rules of your clan.

So yes if this is the way you want to operate a clan then by all means continue to do so and people are free to choose whether they join or not.

The rules may not be for everyone even if they play legit, this is something you must admit.
  • Im well aware of that. But if you cant tell from the gameplay of someone that they are cheating then you need a bit more common sense. Its pretty obvious if someone is walling and they are trying will all their might to hide it. But its always the same telltale signs..

Staring at a corner and waiting for them to cross it. A cheater wont give a player the chance by aiming somewhere off the distance and they quckly snap to them as they cross it. Its too risky and they will wait there until they come.
Always going in the direction of the opposing team. One team may go to B site one round, then A the other. Usually they will follow them even if they change from their regular pattern.
Also, how many people do you see run across the map with their knife out as if they are 100% sure they wont be shot? You'll see people run with their knife out surely.. but I dont see many people fling around corners holding a knife... as if they knew noone was there.. and then take out their weapon as they approach the last corner with their target.

No I wasnt... since that isnt what Saidin does. He doesnt bother spending time looking at some kids computer for cheats. Hes even agreed with me thats its quick and easy to delete them... be teamviewed and look clean only to redownload them.
A new client number? How on earth can you be issued a new client number?!
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Mostly great info here Giggle, thanx, :D Need more guidelines to recognizing hacks for better reporting
"Hey lemme TV you for hacks"
    "Sure" -deletes hacks
    -No hacks found
    -redownload hacks

TV is not efficient. If you suspect cheating... then kick them.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This one not so much... We don't want to kick or report legitimate skill, we want the skill. We find that because of our proud stand for fair gaming we find other like minded players and clans who either want to join us or be our allies. So we are helping whether you recognize it yet or not. :D
  • Stop with the tl;dr's, let this thread die and the stupid idea along with it.
  • I Admit It...

You bet, I will admit that and to being completely wrong about you. Prop was right about you. There is a lot of flaming going on in this thread and I take it pretty personal when I see my friends getting knocked around, not that they can't handle it, but I still have their backs.
  • So what if they hack on one computer and have another computer for the "Legit" gameplay?

Could have one with loads of hacks. The other squeeky clean as a babys ass. ;)
  • I'm not sure if i would want to be on your clan or any other clan brutalambush because of that. you have played with my brother Nitemare63 and 55supermario knows we don't cheat and how we feel about cheaters that we wish them dead. i'm 39 my brother is 48 been gaming for a lot of years. the cheating in this game is unreal we are both tired of it. so maybe we would join a clan like that if its a big one so we would have a lot to play with.

One of the reasons I started a clan was to find like minded people to talk and play cross fire with in our spare time. I enjoy our Team speak with clan members as well as other invited friends. The idea that we want to keep our clan clean has brought many people to enjoy playing with us. For nothing more than this I think it was a good choice made not by myself but an agreement we all came to as a clan.
