7 AWM shots to the head to kill someone and as a ghost it's 3 headshots with a field shovel or 7 to the body.
I understand that the games reg is horrible but 7 awm head'shots cmon.. you are exaggerating a bit eh? I can say you shot him 2 times and it didn't reg and your pissed and you come here to say this, but don't just pull a random number from your ass next time. -
Your "ping" isn't actually your ping. My clan LT is a network specialist guy thingo as his job, and he said he used some techie trick to block the ways games can ping him. Yet the game STILL puts a ping next to his name.
This must be the greatest fraud of all time perpetrated by Z8 against the crossfire community. Only problem is my limited technical know-how means I don't fully understand how or why.
What I do know is with my ping of 200, I can pump a whole clip into someone at point blank, controlling my spray so I get red hits the whole time and see the blood, YET STILL NO DAMAGE! -

Because you have 200 ping. Derp.
It may not necessarily be displaying your true ping, but it's still got a little backing when it comes to comparing ping and hit detection. -
That value is actually your latency. They measure the time it takes for information to go back and forth on the port the game uses. This is why even if ICMP is blocked there is a value there.Your "ping" isn't actually your ping. ping sometimes don really matter.
i got average 50 ping,but my shots don reg much better than those high pingers.. -

200 ping means it takes 0.200 seconds for you to receive information and 0.200 seconds to send it, also factor in average human response time of 0.250 seconds. So your shooting at a target that was there 0.650 seconds ago. It may appear your shooting him and getting all hits, but your shooting at something that was there 0.650 seconds ago.
Do you know what leading the target is? Its what anti-aircraft gun operators do to hit fighter planes in WW2, because there shooting at targets up to a whole mile away and there bullets only travel about 1,000 feet a second they had to predict the flight path of the plane and shoot there before the plane got there. Even up too 5 seconds in advance.
The reason it appears that you hit is because all the hit data is on your computer and being run, the servers decides whether or not you hit and did damage. The servers are using information they receive and use it when they receive it.
Even tho your shooting at a target (which is already 0.200 seconds old for you), it takes 0.200 seconds for the shooting data to reach the server. Once it reaches the server it applies the shooting data and doesn't see any hits because what you were shooting at is no longer there when the server applies it.
This means that the higher ones ping is the greater the difference on what the server and your computer see. To compensate for this lag you need to fire ahead of where your target is going.
