  • the less your fps is the worser it is and the higher your ping is the worse it is.
  • FPS is the refresh rate of your monitor, the higher the better. IMO a decent FPS is 50 and above. Below that and you'll notice the change and below 30 it starts to become a problem for game play.

Ping is how long it takes for the information to and from your computer to get to the game servers, so the lower your ping the faster the response time will be. Meaning you won't notice any delay in switching your weps in game. When you have a ping over about 150ish(with low FPS) then you'll start to notice a delay when switching your weps in game(about 200ish ping if you have over 80 FPS).

Refresh rate is the max cap of your FPS , It has nothing to do with your FPS besides HZ level

If you get lag from shooting a gun its because of your internet , Your ISP's packets connection is to low for CF so thats why when you shoot a gun to many packets overload your internet and cause it to stall and it waits for it to finish so it just keeps raising until it does

He's talking about switching his gun quickly. Which has nothing to do with his internet connection what so ever.

I knew what ping was but I could never find out what the FPS was! I figured it had something to do with the video but I wasn't sure. THANK YOU for that wonderful info!!!
  • I have 30 fps. What hang are you talking about?

  • FPS: Frames per second
The number of frames shown on your screen per second, the higher the better

    Ping (ms):
the time needed to recieve a response from the server you are playing at (in milliseconds = 1/1000 seconds ergo a ping of 1000 means a delay of 1 second) the lower the better
