  • So guys, where were you on 9/11?

I was watching the news live after the first plane hit and watched the second plane live hit the second tower.

I still remember the same picture.

Think I was at home, sunny nice day, and then...
  • Okay Polleus - I see you have deleted my post.

Well, to be honest I am shocked and feel a taste of bitterness in my mouth, you went to the assumption that my post was disrespectful, yes?

Well that is mearly based on your opinion alone - I myself believe that the key to paying TRUE respect is to not portray yourself in a miserable fashion; but in a way that shows that you have moved on for the better, I doubt that the ones we lost on that fateful day would be happy to see us mourning over the past, I believe that they would rather see us be happy!

And how else can we be happy than bringing humour to the one thing that hurts us most; human loss.

If I died tomorrow, I wouldn't like to see my mother crying her eyes out 10 years later; infact I would feel blessed if she was happier than ever before! Look, I'm not trying to be a d-ck, giving myself a few laughs at the expense of others... I am mearly trying to get the way I see things across to the few people on these forums - and If what I have said made you feel anger or made you see me as a disrespectful person; then I am sorry.
  • Jenga - Removing pieces from the tower, with the game ending when the tower of blocks falls down.

Yes, I believe that was unnecessary considering what happened. Bad joke. You could have brought laughs upon yourself in another way. Making light of the situation, if that makes you feel better, is fine. But that was just a bad way to do it, if you really think about it.

    We will never forget.

Also, to those who believe that this is not a big deal:

Do NOT post on this thread. I will be watching it all day. If you are not here to pay your respects to those lost, then don't even post. I don't care whether you think it's important or not. I lost two cousins, my grandfather, and my best friend of 15 years who worked at the Pentagon when 9/11 happened. I am astounded by those who come in here and say this is not a significant event. Peoples lives were taken from them without notice and people SUFFERED while the buildings collapsed around them. People were jumping out of the buildings to escape from the agony of the fire. If you can't sympathize with that, you really need to go somewhere else with it.

People actually had to say goodbye to their loved ones because they all knew what was going to happen. I don't care if you have an opinion that its not important. Today, on this day, you WILL keep it to yourself if you are not here to pay your respects. Period. Try me.

    My sympathies Polleus.
I still remember watching the 2nd plane crash into the tower on tv this day.

Many people lost relatives this day and for all those my sincerest condolences.
  • I'll also be watching this thread. I'm Canadian, and you can't help but feel sorry for all of the people that died mindlessly that day. Don't forget guys, we're all humans. My sympathies to Americans, and I hope the pain has a subsided a little bit. Sure, the pain will never go away, but I hope it isn't the searing pain that the whole world felt that day 10 years ago.
  • So guys, where were you on 9/11?

I was watching the news live after the first plane hit and watched the second plane live hit the second tower.
I was only 6 years old, so I didn't really understand what was going on... I remember watching the first pictures of the planes flying into the towers on television, but I had no idea what a fateful day it was.

A music video dedicated to 9/11. I helped Film and Edit the video.

A single-scenario-snapshot of the brokenness caused by 9/11. This video tells its story through a song written by Danielle Steinwart and Bryan Troup. With their assistance, the video was produced by the 2011 East TV Broadcasting Music Video Team. The video received a platinum award with a composite score of 102 of 110 when presented to the 2011 CTEC judging panel in the "Music Video" category.
  • Just wanted to post in this thread giving my condolences and respect to the many people who lost their life on that day. Never forget
  • One of my friends just wrote on facebook: "Eh... Happy 9/11?" Don't know if I'm supposed to cry or laugh..

  • I was in school (in Canada, mind you) and our teacher stopped the class and told us what happened. Not something a classroom full of 8 year olds should ever have to experience.
  • Dont know if its right in this case.
But well im just glad at all that Osama bin Laden finally got killed this year.

It won't get the death people back alive neither it will abate the pain of the relatives.
But it was just righteous that he got killed after all what he did to the US.

I don't think it was a good thing to kill Osama Bin Laden. I think the difference of Al Qaeda and us should be, that we are more civilized. We showed ourself to be just as bad as him when we took our revenge by killing him. He should have been put to prison for lifetime after trial - not just killed when they found him.

Stay on prison? so that Al Qaeda would've get him out there again? There was no other way than killing him.
But well lets stay on topic. And don't drift into some different stuff
  • intel45 wrote: »
he should have been cut piece by piece. most gruesome torture imaginable imo

I don't agree with you. Osama Bin Laden was a cruel man. He would just be happy to watch us be just as cruel as him.

Oh, and Al Qaeda is heavily damaged, they would not be able to get him out of an american prison.

Prolly they would just let another plane crash in it and take another thousand of peoples with them to death, is it that what u want?
But lets quit talking about Al Qaeda now and get back on topic.

I sure do hope that there has been a reason with the billions of dollars invested in antiterrorism. Airport security is better than ever, a plane crash does not seem possible to me, but maybe I just don't know enough about the security in america...

I dont know that much about the security in america as well but if these people want something they will get it, doesnt matter how.

I don't think so... Then they would have been able to make a terrorist attack as revenge on Osamas death or at least to "celebrate" 9/11. Al Qaeda are really weak at the moment.

red part says it all. Anyways lets quit talkin about al qaeda and get back on topic.

You can't capitalize the first letter in a sentence.
Which is understandble, unlike not being able to paying respect to the victims... Well, I don't wanna start an argument, but I do not understand why you wrote the stuff you did...
  • Whoever trolled in this thread stfu. You're probably like 14 years old and wouldn't have the balls to talk **** about this in real life, so don't do it here.
  • Is this rlly the place to be talking about this subject?
  • We will never forget.

SO you delete my posts because I feel sorry, but because I feel sorry for different reasons than our marines being stationed in the middle of nowhere.

You should be ashamed of yourself And this is EXACTLY what the terrorists want.
For us to lose our principles.

Thanks Polleus, STELLER MOD RIGHT HERE!

Maybe in the future, you will finally see why my comments have significance, but for nwo, you are just as bad as the people that did this. Giving no one a chance to even speak. Be ashamed.
  • Is this rlly the place to be talking about this subject?

    finally some intelligence
  • People die its life no need to keep going on about something thats in the past.
