Forget the politics, forget the arguments about the war and our soldiers. 9/11 is about remembering those lost; people will always find something to disagree on, and it's based on those disagreements that thousands of innocent people were affected that day 10 years ago.

Well there will always be threats but its just unlikely to happen after 9/11 because we learned and because thanks to our military and our security organizations like FBI, CIA, AND NSA, they will do watever means neccessary to protect us.

Through there family's suffering, pain, and absence of the ones they lost.

I feel for those as my grandma was lost in 9/11. May peace be brought to all the families

As a Canadian I watched the details of 9/11 unfold with pain in my heart and soul for our brothers and sisters in the USA. We have prayed for all who have been lost 10 years ago and we have fought hard side by side to drive terrorists back to hell where they belong ever since.
God bless America. Stay strong. Know that we here in Canada will continue to support our brothers.
Let us not forget why and what we are remembering.

No political or religious discussion of any kind will be tolerated on the forums. These kinds of conversations almost always devolve into insult contests or flame wars.

Show some goddamn respect.

The loss of the people who died is great. Doesn't have to be someone in your own country or people you know to not think its a loss. My condolences are out to the people who died that day.

Look, yes, millions of people die a year, but from NATURAL causes. Animals die from disease and starvation the same as anyone else, so why is that any different? The perpetrators of 9/11 KILLED those people, whose only crime was apparently existing.

9/11 IS a tragedy, it showed the world what it needed to know. War no longer required mass resources and planning. I feel more safe now than ever, and I'll put up with minor inconveniences to keep it that way.

Also, to those who believe that this is not a big deal:

Do NOT post on this thread. I will be watching it all day. If you are not here to pay your respects to those lost, then don't even post. I don't care whether you think it's important or not. I lost two cousins, my grandfather, and my best friend of 15 years who worked at the Pentagon when 9/11 happened. I am astounded by those who come in here and say this is not a significant event. Peoples lives were taken from them without notice and people SUFFERED while the buildings collapsed around them. People were jumping out of the buildings to escape from the agony of the fire. If you can't sympathize with that, you really need to go somewhere else with it.

People actually had to say goodbye to their loved ones because they all knew what was going to happen. I don't care if you have an opinion that its not important. Today, on this day, you WILL keep it to yourself if you are not here to pay your respects. Period. Try me.

I think it is a shame that 9/11 result in war and even more suffering and death. We should learn that lifes are not meant to be lost in meaningless culture confrontations. RIP all those who died 9/11 and RIP all those who were killed by american soldiers afterwards.
