I don't know who you think you're informing by making yet another "oh noes i saw a cheater thread", but its not anyone here.
Nobody is oblivious to the cheating situation.
We all know how it is.
We don't need to be told fifty times a day by Google translate.
So we decided not to allow it at all.
Usually just by deletions, rarely infractions since the frustration is understandable - unless the user makes an effort to spam it.
I recognize the need to "type it off", but really, you have a notepad, just type it up there.
Theres nothing you can cry about that we don't know about or have seen before.
Obviously you don't read the forums as there are a number of people, Surged for one, that denies the problem even exists. -

We who play this game daily see nothing. There is no banned list, there are no enforcers that roam the servers and kick/ban the wallers. Guys theres been lots of suggestionos on how to play without a hacker.
Go play with freinds and clan members or in echo 8 were theres mostly americans.
Its not worth arguing with a MOD or GM's becuase they are 10 times more informed about how the game works and how everything goes.
I don't know where people got the idea that they dont ban perminently.
The autoban system that can catch a hacker when he logs in bans temperarly because it found a hack on the users computer. But that hack can be for something else other then Crossfire so they wont ban perminently.
If you send a replay THATS when they get perm banned. -

If you have any cheat/cheater you want to report use the proper function. Not these forums.

Hackers that are reported get a permanent ban if the person going through the replays decides they are hacking, that is a fact.
I've either seen/heard GM saidin say this, I listened to the interview he did a few months ago and he addressed this issue, saying people that are reported with the replay and it's determined that they hack are permanently banned.

Little boy I have been writing code for computers for 35 years, I have been playing on line games for 20+ years. I have played through it all. I have seen good anti cheat systems where GM actually were Game Masters, not game testers.I have seen good games destroyed by people like Z8 that refuse to take the steps needed top clean house; Ban all access from out side the NA, UK. Flat no more access. They can't they are scared, they are greedy, They dropped the banned list, not for a valid reason, but for a butt covering PC reason that they didn't want to scare away the garbage. Unfortunately the garbage has taken over. what I do know is that I have played this game for almost 2 years. I have seen it raise and now it is falling. I have seen the average Ping go from 85 to 170+ due to the influx of the Non English speakers. I have seen how English is scanned, screened and censored, but not the Hispanics, the German, the Arabic, French, and more that should never been allowed to join these servers to start with.
No Z8 and its MODS, and GM's are doing a poor job. -

Well my personal experience with cheats, seeing them weeks if not months after they were reportedly banned, is all i need. Am I calling Saidin a liar? Lets just say I have seen too many GM's in the past that were. that protected friends and clan mates from bans. I no longer trust Mods or Gm's. I am not some off the wall person, I was one of the people that said give the BR a chance. treat them well. It took 2 months for me to see the error. I kept writing it down to the few. That is now long in the past. I no longer accept Mods or
GM word that people are banned, that something is being done. Why, because my eye tell me it is not and that those people that say some thing is being done are basically spewing Z8's company line. -

What you know about other games you dont know how CROSSFIRE WORKS. point proven when you said they dont ban hackers perminently.

1st off to the guy above me... it shouldn't need to be said, but calling the MOD's hackers is childish at the least.
2nd about the hacker situation, anyone who at least does the daily mission everyday knows what its like. I couldn't do FFA today without at least 3 hackers in the room... but what does coming to the forums really do about it?
Nothing.
Coming to the forums repeatedly does a whole lot of nothing... all that can be done by the MOD's is they tell in an email or w/e to Z8 is there is a problem with people hacking.
What else do the forumers expect of the MOD's here? They are forum MOD's for goodness' sake...
This community would be a whole lot better served if the community payed attention to their teams actions and kicked anyone who is legitimately hacking asap... the hackers would stop if they got kicked out of every game cause that's just not fun.
Edit: In case you cant tell who is an obvious hacker... look at your information, look at pings (press tab) look at how fast someone is moving and how they get their kills... use your experience from previous players. Make sure you know who you are kicking and why. -

It's bad yes, We know because we monitor the problem from in game. We keep waiting for an answer that reflects the idea that Z8 is trying to do something to fix it.
Why not just say. hay nothing we can do!!! Your all screwed and the company is going to string you along until there's not enough legit players left to buy enough ZP to pay the bills. Then the server will go down and problem solved!!! presto chango bingo no more game, no more hackers.
Or Give us some thing in the way of a report detailing the progress that Z8 has made, Up coming planes to take back the game. A surge of involvement by GMs and mods in the trenches with the rest of us.
Tell me when is the last time you tried to complete a FFA port daily mission in a room that was not looked down? Join any public room and tell me what you think about the situation being under control? -

They say XTrap is good, that they are aware of the hacking situation, that they don't need to be told and everything is in hand, plus it's free so you have no right to complain.
actually for most players in c.f , it is NOT free.
PPL have paid money, LOTS of money for zp pts, to buy items.
i am sure there are over 10,000 players who have bought zp at least once, out of like

my point is, z8, c.f whoever is running the show, owe the players who are heavey zp buyers, those guys who spend over $500 for zp pts, to buy items.

Reported cheats are always permanently banned. The fact that you choose not to believe it only speaks for your ignorance or stupidity, not against the fact.
The second one of these '"known honest players" IP ban (you've been coding for 35 years and don't see the problem with giving civilians access to an ip-banning tool on a multi-million dollar website?) a legitimate player, the system fails, and they're not liable so obviously they're going to do it.

We need is a system where if a player is in illegal activity (lets say hacking).There would be a alert button in ESC menu, where once pressed. Contacts the next available GM or Z8 headquaters or Forum mods(via IRC), and at the same time sends the current gameplay save as well as real time streaming footage to the GM/Z8Employee/ForumMod. With that gameplay footage, the one with that data can fastforward from the beginning to the end and can make sure if there is an offender. IF there is one, actions can be made such as permanent banning, or temporary ban with a minimum of 1 month. And the one who was caught will most likely have an unconditional sentence since he/she is caught in the act with evidence. And if he is given a temporary sentence he/she shall also lose all benefits of the game such as no gain of EXP,GP, as well as KILLS. Only deaths shall be registered until a period of 6 months.
HOWEVER! If there isnt an offender, one who alerted the system will go under questioning and receive a penalty such as loss in GP (lets say 35,000GP)/3,000ZP(If the player is a constant ZP spender) AND/OR a temporary ban of 7 days. This is only to prevent ones who would abuse the system such as alerting even if there isnt an offender. You only get 1 warning if the alert is false.

Oh the situation gets addressed many time. So many times its become so redundant we wont even dignify a stupid thread like this with a proper responce, because people are THAT lazy to use the search button.
Giving a progress report? And cause more work than is already avaliable? Slowing down the system because people constantly send in false reports? No....

Been discussed before and will not work. Youre not the first genius to come up with that idea. -
Yes it is pathetic. Players only resort to posting these types of threads because the in game situation is very poor.
These players/thread starters see the same things day in day out for months and nothing changes and these things are annoying when you are a dedicated and regular player... These players just want to enjoy the game and many that do complain support the game financially and care about it and therefore are simply urging the staff to do something about the situation as it is the last resort, after all they waited and waited patiently for months.
And whilst staff say "we are aware of the hacking issue" as if to invalidate the point of the thread by conveying to others the player is stupid and is simply trying to tell an oblivious Z8 that there are hackers is wrong and they know it.
What the player is doing by making the thread is basically saying "we have loads of hackers and you ain't doing nothing to improve the situation in a timely manner, do something, improve", - which is a valid point.
The other excuse by Z8 is that these threads are repetitive, so they are unneeded and are essentially spam posts.
Well obviously these threads are needed since the in game situation is still very poor as the outbreaks of hacking go on for extended periods of time and at the same time staff praise XTrap as if it is a messiah and say the won't change it.
They say XTrap is good, that they are aware of the hacking situation, that they don't need to be told and everything is in hand, plus it's free so you have no right to complain.
Yet still nothing gets done to fix the situation - These threads are simply saying get off your ass and you can't argue with that - However you can infract them and delete the threads to keep the forums respectable since you have these options.
And nobody expects a hack free game, nor do they expect hackers to be gone in a click of a button but they don't expect to join every TDM game and get botted from the spawn.

ok first off every cursed room has obvious cheats right now,second most friends and clan members have quit or taken an extremely long break from hackfire because of the crap they have to put up with everyday in game
third teamview cost money last i knew and who has time to teamview everyone?
not to mention just because a person was legit once doesnt mean under the inevitable pressure of constant death in hackfire that they wont want to try to hack themselves so they can even the odds -
