I don't know who you think you're informing by making yet another "oh noes i saw a cheater thread", but its not anyone here.
Nobody is oblivious to the cheating situation.
We all know how it is.
We don't need to be told fifty times a day by Google translate.
So we decided not to allow it at all.
Usually just by deletions, rarely infractions since the frustration is understandable - unless the user makes an effort to spam it.
I recognize the need to "type it off", but really, you have a notepad, just type it up there.
Theres nothing you can cry about that we don't know about or have seen before. -

Truth be told though, there ARE a lot of hackers. I would say at least 50% of the crossfire community has shoot through wall hack if not the repetitive hackers. -

The mods are not Z8. They are appointed to the position, and it is volunteer. They probably just get tired of seeing different people posting the same thing.

Yes it is pathetic. Players only resort to posting these types of threads because the in game situation is very poor.
These players/thread starters see the same things day in day out for months and nothing changes and these things are annoying when you are a dedicated and regular player... These players just want to enjoy the game and many that do complain support the game financially and care about it and therefore are simply urging the staff to do something about the situation as it is the last resort, after all they waited and waited patiently for months.
And whilst staff say "we are aware of the hacking issue" as if to invalidate the point of the thread by conveying to others the player is stupid and is simply trying to tell an oblivious Z8 that there are hackers is wrong and they know it.
What the player is doing by making the thread is basically saying "we have loads of hackers and you ain't doing nothing to improve the situation in a timely manner, do something, improve", - which is a valid point.
The other excuse by Z8 is that these threads are repetitive, so they are unneeded and are essentially spam posts.
Well obviously these threads are needed since the in game situation is still very poor as the outbreaks of hacking go on for extended periods of time and at the same time staff praise XTrap as if it is a messiah and say the won't change it.
They say XTrap is good, that they are aware of the hacking situation, that they don't need to be told and everything is in hand, plus it's free so you have no right to complain.
Yet still nothing gets done to fix the situation - These threads are simply saying get off your ass and you can't argue with that - However you can infract them and delete the threads to keep the forums respectable since you have these options.
And nobody expects a hack free game, nor do they expect hackers to be gone in a click of a button but they don't expect to join every TDM game and get botted from the spawn. -
But that doesn't equate to 50%. Even with a game I played this morning having 3 shoot through walls, it still doesn't mean 50% of CF players cheat. That is what Giggletron is saying is ridiculous. And I will assert the prevalence of cheaters in the game is due to the community coddling them, and not because Z8 is failing somehow. I guarantee that if people who actually cheated were kicked on the first vote, and could find no safe haven outside of locked rooms with their friends, the amount of cheating would drop significantly. As long as we take more vote kicks to get rid of someone who is OBVIOUSLY cheating than one who is playing legitimately, we will have cheats in game.i saw 1 shoot through walls everygames with some BRs supporting him by not letting me kick him -_- -

If you have any cheat/cheater you want to report use the proper function. Not these forums. -
must be such a hard life for the MOD's to take 80% of the bs and rage that comes in about hacks and z8 only see's 5% of it and over looks it by puting out a new patch to shut people up about it for a week or 2 at the most.

I do however always pub in the same channel.
You get to know some people. Most people recognize you.
You partake in basic conversation, say hi when you join, don't cry, F11 the cheaters and F12 the people you recognize and their friends.
If your play style is less casual than that (above is common courtesies and sense), you clearly have no interest in enjoying the game, and are one of the thousands "join room, omg dead, get on forum EVERYONE CHEATS OMFG".
It doesn't take much effort to enjoy this game.
(And I meet perhaps three cheaters a day. They're instantly kicked, because you don't pop in a random pub, you play with people you're familiar with.) -
I love how the players who complain about the hacker situation don't have a basic idea how hosting and maintaining a game is. Oh lets switch the anti-cheat we have once and it payed off dividends, believe it or not it was worse, as for Z8 not doing anything is because they can't they supply logs to what hacks are out there but mainly it comes down to xtrap to recode the anti-virus. Then comes down to the bypasses which if detected kick you off not ban you, unfortunately it's a guessing game between who can out code the other. But if it's such a epidemic then why don't you go buy Counter-Strike surely you have no problem paying fifty dollars for a game

I'm not calling BS or anything on the MODS or DEVS that work for this game but, if you MODS are sick of these type of threads, don't you think we Forumers are sick of your text book responses?
Like seriously you suggest, sending in a report, which maybe 1 out of 50 reports of haackers get banned, mostly a temp ban, or if they buy a large sum of ZP monthly they get a slap on the wrist...
You MODS and Forumers suggest playing with friends and clan mates as a solution to getting kicked randomly, which is wrong for us to always count of clan/friends to have our back in pubs, because no one likes to be pulled from what their doing to in a way act as a barrier between you and the nut job newbs that spam haackusations all the time.
And again, you MODS believe that we will just buy in to the whole "were working on it, and are aware of the situation" like others have said you say this time and time again for months, but yet no actions taking place?
I for one do not report haackers, simply because they will just be on tommarow or won't get in trouble. and really how hard is it to simply make a new account and do it all over again?
Lastly if you MODS don't like seeing these types of threads. Why don't you just sweep it under the rug and ban their forum account -OR- actually put forth a real agenda for a haacker sweep, tell us when and were ect. But thats too hard, because like most gaming companies you just care about your paycheck and who cares what state the game is in?

if you report a hacker and they're caught hacking 100%, they get a permanent ban. Not sure where noobs like yourself keep getting the idea that it's only a temp ban. -

i think after over a year and a half of playing this game we are going to allways have hacs to some level. whats disaponting to me is the legit players that wont kick them and not in just win games but in all modes. whats real sad is when they say kick yours first and you do and they dont even try. we kinda have caused or increased our problem by not having any honor. im just as angry at the non kickers as i am with hacs

Ignorant or just misinformed, I can't decide. Regardless; Every cheater reported is banned permanently.
It may take a while, the automatic system might catch him first in which case he'll just be banned again and again and eventually permanent.

Yes, buy in to it if you will.
We're inarguably aware of the situation - fifty moronic threads and twice as many posts a day gives us our daily "there are cheaters in this game!"-dose.
A lot has taken place in just a couple of months, the filters in the automatic system are updated weekly (or more, I don't have stats for this), XTrap is usually updated at least twice a week, thousands of players are banned monthly, I could go on..
The fact that you don't recognize it isn't a big surprise though.
For one, you're hellbent on only seeing the negatives.
Bitterness of course, inefficient but understandable.
And the inevitable fact that PEOPLE CAN REGISTER FOR THIS GAME.
New players come in, a couple of them will decide to cheat.

We don't like banning people from the forums.
We do it because they're living in their own world where nobody knows about cheaters and they're the messiahs of spreading that gospel.

MODs don't work on the game or solutions. Banning you from the forum takes two seconds and wouldn't take any time away from the devs and GMs creating solutions.

To be honest, I really don't believe that posting threads about the illegal program usage is pointless and annoying.
It simply reminds the creators of this game that illegal program users are still in the Crossfire universe.
Without these threads, how would the Moderators and Game Moderators have awareness of this issue? -
Why z8games doesnt buy a better anti-hacking software?
Please dont write now as answer xtrap is doing a good job, because it isnt.Xtrap needs almost 2weeks to release a new update. After this update 2 days are hack free, then there are hackers again for 2weeks till the next update. Xtrap is too slow! -
My only problem with the hackers now is they have ruined my kdr. It was never really good but now its way down below 1.5. yesterday I hade 45 kills but 250 deaths to get my wins for the missions. I just deal with it. But it sure will be nice if the Brs get there own server.
