  • Aww how nice, Thanks for your vote of confidence. I feel very welcome in this forum community. It's always nice to visit with the MODs and share personal opinions with them.
    Have a wonderful day!!!

oh and just one more thing. When I say something ignorant I assume that people are aware that I do it by choice and not hypocritically. I joke about being a forum MOD because I have no desire to represent a tailored opinion that is not my own. As far as being consciously misinformed, how could that be judged in a forum post? Naive? I don't understand how it works into your statement? Did it look nice with all the other words? The true desire to educate people starts with understanding that we are all responsible for what we say. Having the power to MOD a public forum is a responsibility yes. How that power is applied is up to the individual. Naive would be mistaking what someone says for who they are.
although its off-topic, i shall elaborate

#1 Not ignoring the fact that hackers have taken over cross fire < naive
; Nobody is ignoring it, thinking that we're unaware is naive at best.

#4 Believing that nuking Brazil is a good start < ignorant
; Believing that a single country should be eradicated is either incredibly stupid, racist or ignorant. I chose ignorant, it sounds better.

#5 Drinking my pay check and never coming to work < misinformed
; MODs don't get paychecks, we don't "come to work".

first line, reasons a person should NOT be a MOD.
I use myself so not to offend others with my humor.
#1 Not being able to say hack or hacker in game is an attempt to down play the situation.
#2 Nuking or eradicating Brazil in the context of cross fire. Not geographically. It is not aimed at the many good people of Brazil their culture or choice of religion.
#5 Drinking ones pay check or not attending work are aimed at showing a lac of responsibility or desire to continue working there.I am aware that MODs are not payed.
  • and this is why we don't use sarcasm and attempted "inside humor" on the internet people
  • dot is the best ^^
especially what he just did ^
  • I am not upset, I did not want to offend Dot or any one else, well maybe some hackers. lol
A conversation is not a war last time I checked. I was making a joke. that is all. I thought it was nice to share opinions and I had fun doing it. Is that not what we are all doing here?

Its only funny if everyone finds it funny
  • Hi shouldve been Mod before half the Mods which were picked in the last 8 months.

He loves Crossfire more than Giggletron loves Borderlands. That, in itself, is pretty deep.

That's not true. If someone is searching for fault in what a person says they will always find it. The forums are a place for people of all walks of life to discus cross fire not come to some great consensuses. Half the posts on here will bother one person or another. I like controversy yes. I like Dot because he's smart enough to cover himself and his comments with an intellectual approach. Trust me when I say that the MODs know people like me will push for the truth and some times answers that the general public will be interested in but not able to handle. I push the lines of what they can tolerate and they push back. Others find it entertaining they get involved. we all learn a little more about the game and each other. That is why a forum is called a community.

Just.. Stop. Youre trying to win an argument youll inevitably lose.

You tell me youre not stupid.. that youre not a kid.
Your posts say different. Now zip it.

What we say is the truth. We dont lie. Because you dont agree with what we say, it doesnt mean it isnt the truth. You can push all you want, what a Moderator or GM says will be 100% true unless said so otherwise and that will never change n matter how much trouble you cause.

    You are intolerable.

    burn yourself.
  • well Dot, nice talking with you. have a good night. I don't think I called anyone a liar. I guess I must have touched a soft spot. Giggle I get it. you don't like me and that's fine cause I'm not a big fan of your way of speaking to people. You can only expect as much respect from people as you provide. I try to be polite, I find it works best.
  • I guess the were desperate :/
    Ahh joking. :P

Congratz Hi, Use the powers for good and not for evil :D
  • Gratz Hi.

Don't ban me if i spammed your wall, No =.= ?
  • Congratz with your promotion. I knew it was you :D
  • Congratulations Hi, I hope you help the problem of hackers. There are many cheats!!!!!

    [Welcome To The Jungle]

Mods can do nothing about the hacking situation. They have to report like everyone else as they dont have any in game power.

and lol at whatever conspiracy theory pr0paganda is trying to infer

com'on man you know .... like how xcrap is so good and how the servers and website were Not attacked , how the hackers are on a decline , I mean BE FER REAL ..

Consensus is on the fact that it doesn't get better than XTrap.
(meaning picking some new off-the-shelf anticheat wouldn't improve anything)
You're free to debate whether or not that is good enough.

As for the website downtime, I realize that new users might be shocked when a big game and website like Crossfire and Z8Games goes down for a couple hours.
Those of us who have been around a while knows that this happened once a week before.
It doesn't imply mischief - ever site goes down once in a while.
The focus here is on game servers, not website, so there aren't as much redundancy as one might wish for the website (and login servers).

    Conspiracy theories do thrive here..

While some of you may have predicted this, and as always picking community leaders is a difficult task, we have a new moderator to announce today and that moderator is [MOD]Hi.

Hi has been around the forums for an incredibly long time. And he's had his ups and downs, but has remained active throughout it all. Hi posts with thought, and has a genuine care for the improvement of the game and it's community.

Hi is also an active part of the ESL organization and helping them to work on better events for the competitive section of the game. He will still be a part of the ESL, however he's joining our already large Moderating Squad to help them with this community as required.

So whether you knew Hi from the old days, or you're getting to know him now you can always find him on our forums or in game. Stop by and say hello, ask him some questions and see what he has to say about the game and the community!

Welcome to the Mods Hi. Enjoy!

    Gooooood job Hi

The downtime had nothing to do with content updates, just some bad networking causing servers to lose contact with each other.

No, as far as I know Z8 is doing fine.

ok, we're ancious, we've been expecting this patch since 1 year :)

There was a patch just in july. It's usual that Z8 every year has 1 month where they dont give a content update - this year August.
And like Saidin said somewhere the problem couldnt be solved by people from z8, thus they had to get help from others, which obviously takes a while
