An Idea to bring down hackers and encourage people to report.
Ok, over the last month or so there seems to be a new wave of hackers in and the wall hack seems to be ost popular at the moment. Now I always report hackers (unless server times me out) and give crossfire all info I know BUT i know alot of players don't, and alot of players "activly" hack support.
Now my idea is that instead of supporting the hackers, there should be a reward system to encourage people to report and kick hackers. I'm not saying anything major but maybe GP/ZP or creates everytime you report x ammount of hackers who are found to be "guilty".
I understand how hard it is for z8 to do this all but maybe this might encourage players not to support the hackers and kick them not just from a few rounds but the whole game in general.
Tell me what you think, and if it would be possible at all.

i had the same idea with you before. as a matter of fact, the non hack players should be more active in reporting these hackers. if some sort of rewards are supplied by z8, players seems to have incentive to deal with hacks.
for example, ribbon can be the reward for the player, if the report is indeed a hack report.
or maybe one successed report is not enough for players to get the ribbon, we can set 20 successed reports as a limit to get it.
this is only one kinda ideal suggestion, but the side effects might be headaches for z8.
1.there maybe more reports for GM to check, this situation must increase the burden of working for them.
2.in order to get the reward, more and more players would like to submit, even spam reports. it must reduce the effectiveness for checking reports.
but anyways, nothing is perfect in the world, by considering both sides of the good and bad, z8 has to find a blanced way to stop hacking. otherwise, your customers will leave with disappointments and could possibaly never come back. -
I would easily get those ribbons lol, im on 7 reports today alone (about 14 this week) it's been so bad latly somthing needs to be done. maybe for every 5 sucsessful reports you get a ribbon and 5 blacklist creates, (random ones) somthing needs to happen, when will the xtrap sort this out..

As i am old enough not to be childish and just troll the guy. Maybe rewarding is not the answer but an option to report straight after the game would encourage more people to report. Maybe as well when many players report the same player after a game it could be dealt with quicker.By all reports for that game being merged together clearly indicating foul play.

Instead of rewarding people who report, how about penalizing those who consistantly give false reports then maybe Z8 wont be bogged down with crap and actually have the time to deal with the real hackers in the game.
The truth is that false reports take up a considerable amount of valuable time to deal with.. -

and yah, i dont mind, im just fed up with hackers, it's stupid the ammount on now, how is it even any fun hacking?
Maybe z8 could get more people in to just go through a few reports at a time to verify the reported players are hackers just to speed the process (i know i'd do it in my spare time to rid this game of these noobs) -

People are missing the point. Look at the kick vote. Look how abused that is. Now think about a reward or ingame system. Then about supports current situation. So many reports that they cant keep up to date with them. -
its easier to search with google than to use forum search , lol
i used to report over ten hackers a day but thanks to the hacking faQ thread and the treatment i got
I WILL REPORT NO MORE ( not my job to report ) its a waste of time anyway who wants to wait 6 months for something good to happen XD -

Totaly agree, most of us probably couldn't even comprehend the amount of reports you guys get on a daily basis .
As long as people are in control of the kick system, unfortunately, it will never be fair cause a lot of gamers dont play fare.

I used to waste my time and report hackers , stayed in the battles in order to get the file.
The vote system is a complete fraud. They gotta rework that one first.
because i dont think there will be any changes on the report system at all.
(dont need to mention the xtrap fraud which you can just bypass after it checks)
but anyway. my honest oppinion they wont change those 2 things (in the near future) or maybe at all. Why? because they just dont care. Crossfire has been full of hacks for almost 1,5 months now. They wont add any rewards either.
Who cares what they say, its the action that speaks words.
And nothing big has happend considering hackers.
The only real thing is to change the vote kick system. -
People would spam the reports hoping for rewards
it would make life much harder for the support staff
So it would be better if it doesnt happen , if you have the slightest bit of pitty in your heart
imagine having to go through 1000000 tickets from people with fake videos , which normally 5% are actually hackers , you need to think about that
