the clan faq isn't that informative, how can people get clan points?

You may get clan points by winning clan wars, but don't quote me on that.

Clan Wars don't give any bonus EXP. The reason why people say that is because of the following reason:

You get more EXP because it's a two half system; therefore it's just like playing 2 full games of said mode [for example, Search and Destroy]. Also, some items like the clan bag, which give 10% more EXP can come into play.

There isn't a set amount of clan points that you can receive by simply clan warring. That system hasn't been implemented yet.
