Personalized Crosshairs!
I would greatly enjoy the ability to make my own crosshair to use in game. For example, Have an option in the ...options menu... to "create own crosshair." And give us a number of shapes to use. Have it at say 4-5 objects max for crosshair creation.
Example: | o | or ) . ( or <( )>
other shapes besides keyboard shapes would be available too

It'd be hard to implement. I you were asking for a cut-and-paste feature with a limited list of shapes, they'd have to invest a lot of their time to code that. If you were requesting an image-upload feature, it won't happen. The computer would recognize it as a regular image file and stretch it in accordance with the recoil, making it pixelated and unattractive.
Either way, if they could get this feature up and running, I'd be pretty happy (but I'd still use crosshair

naw i did not make those, Those were modifications to a game called C&C Renegade
(google C&C renegade reticles and it will show you 100's of them) In that game you just replaced the crosshair file with the one you wanted and it changed it for you =p
but anyways! Yes, it would take a good deal of coding, BUT! it would spice up the game quite a bit for a good number of people, well me at least ;] -
I say just add some more crosshairs.
I just want something like this
O
A crosshair with no middle, but it's still tight on the target. I use something like this in Black Ops and it works wonders for me.
Still, customized crosshairs would be pretty sweet. -

With vector graphics, one could make anything into a crosshair. (scalable size, whatever, no distortion as long as scaling is even both ways)
There are even softwares for determining the center of images, such as one of the VTF converters that some guy made, and Milkbone texture map editor. (both used to make custom crosshairs and other stuff for other games) -
Is there some file we can edit to change these? I'd think there is, but I'm not sure if it wouldn't crash CF every time you boot it.
I believe it's in the .REZ files which if you even so much as sneeze on those files, CF would have a heart attack and never work which would then mean having to re-install....
This would either have to be re-written to work in the UI files or if there could be released patches that would allow the player to download a patch of his choosing of which crosshair(s) he would like to have.
Problem with the patches is that there will most likely only be 3 slots so there would have to be a ton of patches to be written, which is long and tedious...disagree the current ones are just fine
You're no fun...
