Why is SPOP so special?
First off. I searched this. Did NOT find an answer.
Now, understand i'm not hatin on anybody, im not advocating any ribbon for other ZP characters, I just want a straight simple answer;
What made Z8 make a ribbon just for SPOP?
I'd just PM a MOD or a GM for a answer but I realized that'd be a waste of their time.

It looked skinny and taller than regular characters. The size of SPOP plays tricks on your opponents minds. (Psychological warfare). Effective against players who are new to the regular servers. ie. Sergeants who just got out of rookie server with KDR still intact.
Hitboxes are apparently still the same, never actually tested it myself, but im willing to take other people's word for it -
Maybe because you get a ribbon when you get the SPOP Model.
Ribbon is called "AINT NO PARTY LIKE AN SPOP PARTY"

11th Ribbon from the top
Edit: I read the question wrong :P
Maybe they made a ribbon for spop just so they could make more money -

Read the content.
Not just this title. -
This is just my assumption, but my answer would have to be that it was, the first ever ZP character.
This would be correct. IMOLazy_Genius wrote: »It looked skinny and taller than regular characters. The size of SPOP plays tricks on your opponents minds. (Psychological warfare). I have seen the hitboxes and well you can test this out.. Find an SPOP character and well look at her feet when she's crouched. She doesn't touch the floor (best place to do this is when you're sniping long A at the steps and the SPOP is ahead of you).
That shows that the model is smaller than it's hitbox but the hitbox is still there.. Just an illusion. -

Because when we named it the SPOP which is short form for Special Operations there was a running joke around here about the similarities (in name and the fact that its female) to the group S-Club-7.
And thus the inside joke of the SPOP ribbon is revealed. -

I knew Z8 was keeping small tidbits of unimportant data hidden! Now what is the Black List Seal's name? -

Ribbons are constantly added, just because one was added for the SPOP doesn't mean that one won't be added for other character models. Take the SEAL for example, having it gives you 1 out of the 3 requirements for the Navy Seal Ribbon. As Saidin stated, it was a joke. Possibly other jokes will arise, and ribbons will be made for them.

so, in theory, if she was hugging the side of a crate, where I would see the edge of another character, I would not see anything, though I could still shoot her? It's a smaller target basically. Not allowed in WHOGL or whatever that league is called because although the hitboxes are the same, it's still a smaller visual target, and therefore less to aim at.
