Laptop Trouble
I just got a new Quad Core laptop and i installed CF on it. The trouble i am getting is that while trying to walk in game, i can not turn in any direction. When I let go of the walk or back button, i can turn or spin around in any direction.
I am not using an external mouse. I am actually using the touch pad (i am use to it) and i did so on my old laptop and had no trouble.
I tried using setting the Affinity to CPU0, CPU1, CPU2, CPU3 and stuff like that but nothing works. I don't know if anyone else had this same issue. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game several times but got the same trouble.
Please help.

does it still happen with an external mouse?
Edit: just had a thought.....check your touchpad control panel for settings
I remember a laptop having a setting to "temporarily disable" the touchpad while typing (to prevent accidentally moving the cursor)
sounds like that's your problem. -

There is no setting like this on mines... I checked the touch pad settings and setting and it looks perfectly fine.. -

select "Tap ON while typing"
wording may be different xD, this will set the touchpad to be active while keys are pressed.
I dont have this option under my touch pad. Do you have a screen shot? -
sry, apparently winblows 7 doesn't provide access to the tapping settings.......to be sure try the steps in the link
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/win-7-does-not-give-access-to-disable-touch-pad/68d9bf7b-7d25-4235-ae1a-528a9098a41a
the latest driver from HP might provide what you want.
install an external mouse (temporarily)
goto HP website and download the latest synaptics\touchpad driver for your system, save it on your desktop.
uninstall your current synaptics\touchpad driver, if\when winblows tries to install the driver automagically.....cancel it.
install the new driver from your desktop. (not sure if a reboot will be needed betweeen un-install and re-install)
If that doesn't work...Contact HP support and ask them for advice.
