1.4 GHZ for that quad core?
damn that would suck for CF....
But for other games that support multi-core would be a great lappy for that price
But than the graphic card it's a AMD Radeon HD 6520G
It uses shared memory(Uses memory from RAM)
And GPU's that use shared memory kind of suck really bad for gaming
So in the end this laptop is kind of a average going towards bad laptoppretty decent, but i think you should make one with the help of an informatics expert that you trust, it's aways better to make something that fits exactly what you'll need :]
Ya, sure lets make a laptop from scratch -.-
You know the only reason why a laptop can be cheap is because the are mass produced
if 1 person makes a laptop from scratch than all the work hour spend on it will be way more than mass producing it!
Time = money allot of money -

laptops in general are horrid for gaming, if you want a decent laptop for gaming you have to at least spend 750 minimum, i would at least spend 1000, if you want to game just build/buy a desktop. Don't waste your time with laptops. -

Gone be honest for gaming it's a really sh!t laptop...
The price is good for a home/school lappy for working etc
But for gaming really not a lappy you should get! -
Try this lappy: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/acer-acer-17-3-laptop-featuring-intel-core-i5-2410m-processor-as7750g-6634-black-as7750g-6634/10172578.aspx?path=246f0ae6b23c25432777a456bfb5216fen02
It cost 700 Dollars but you get a good laptop.
The graphic card on it is a decent one benchmarked it hits some good fps on the latest games on average/low graphics settings
.
Scroll down: http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6650M.43962.0.html
and you will see what kind of FPS you can expect on the games!gaming = desktop's territory rite?
Ya kind of obvious xD
But there are some great laptops for gaming but the only cost moreGoldenZer0 wrote: »It was all going good then I came accross the 1.4 GHz processor lol.
As your man a few posts above said, you'll get 40-70 fps.. pretty decent.
Overall I'd say its definetly worth the price.
May actually buy one for myself. o.O
Your only gone play CF?
if your gone play any other game you will get disappointed... -

Hows life back in the year 2000? Anyways. This is 2011 and $500 will get you a laptop that can hit over 100fps in cf easy. And the amount of extreme gaming performance laptops out there now is insane.
Also that laptop is pretty decent for its price. But what that guy said was right. 1.4ghz per-core would slow it down on cf over having say a 2.4 dual core. But still it should run cf more then fine and they extra cores will help out a lot if you multitask while playing such as listen to music or browse web pages. -

500 dollars that is like 347 euro's(LOLZ), and it hits 200 fps.
I would love to know where you can buy that laptop -
Try to get it at newegg. Good online store with some lower prices. Might not get some of the extra perks, but most of the time you really don't need it.(Meaning a long time warranty) Still, a year warranty isn't bad for the price.

Over heat pretty fast
1 Hour battery Life
Noisy
Cheap parts and labor
You really get what you pay for when you buy laptops, I also highly doubt that people ONLY play crossfire, it is pretty pointless buying a laptop only for CF, some laptops that can run CF won't be able to run other games. You're safe dropping at least 750 on a laptop, it will last you longer and won't go outdated as fast. You also won't be limited to cheap adm processors but more of the 2nd gen i5 range. Additionally you will most likely get a decent graphics card in that price range. -
