crossfire startup

We need a little more information. What operating system are you running? Do you know if it is 32 or 64 bit? Past that, You stated that when you click on it, it doesn't open. Does ANYTHING happen? The first window that should open is the Game launcher/News page. If that opens, then it should launch the HGW Game Watcher Window after you click Start.

If the first window doesn't open at all, even with 'Run as admin', we need to start looking at things that simply being an Administrator won't fix. By that I mean:
-Antivirus stopping it from launching for some reason? Have you disabled this just for a moment to test?
-CF Processes open in the Background and locked up? Press Cntrl Alt Delte and choose Task manager, look for CF_g4BOX.exe, if its there, click and choose end task to as many as you see, then try again. This could also be solved by rebooting your machine.
-Bad/Corrupt Installation? Have you tried reinstalling?
-Bad/Corrupt Crossfire Installer? Possibly try redownloading?

That brings up more questions:
Is it a new installation or an old one?
Has it recently been updated?

These questions could go on for a while. If you get the chance, answer and try some of the things here, and if you have it working or get it working, please post your fix. Thanks!
