Have you been in a clan before?
I realize this is not the recruitment section and I am not looking for a clan nor is this thread recruiting for one. I want to discuss some issues that I had with my previous clan.
I found them in the forums here, recruiting for new members. I didn't really know anything about them but I was very excited about joining a clan. I thougt of a clan as a team that would be playing matches together, trying to defeat other teams. That was what I wanted, a team and comradiray. What I found was FARRRRR from what I had envisioned.
When clan members were on we basically did nothing together. This was a huge disappointment for me seeing as how I wanted to play with a TEAM. We ended up starting a couple of clan matches but our fearless leader woudl start whining about how high his ping was and he kept getting killed. He would eventually quit and during one match the rest of my "team" quit along with him and left me to take on the other clan.
Word of advice: this process is just as much about YOU finding a good clan as clans finding good players. You should plan with some of their members, get a feel for them and ask questions. Don't just blindly apply and accept a membership anywhere.

so.... what was the point of this? to state how your clan doesn't work as a team? and to let us know that we should know who our clan mates are, know if they're good, know if they are a good team when it comes to sticking together? if so, thanks. -

The point of this post was to enlighten others about selecting a clan by sharing my experience. It's not just the clan choosing you, it's also you choosing the clan. -
I've had this problem in the past. The best thing to do is go clan-less for a bit, and wait for a good clan to pick you instead.
I got in CO by whooping Alimar in a public GM
A similar thing has happened to me before. Pretty much every single clan I've ever been in has recruited me because I happened to do well in a particular match. I personally think that's the best way to get a clan: let them find you... -

i would definitely agree with this. I dont really care about clan-wars that much, most of the time we end up destroying the BR's that join without trying. what i really like about a clan is when you pub or scrim together. also, clan monopoly night... ftw.
