SOCOM or Desert Eagle as a Snipe Sidearm?

I was wondering if any snipers can answer this question. Which in your opinion is a more reliable sidearm, the SOCOM or the Desert Eagle (don't even get me started on the Desert Eagle Camo, I wasted 77k trying to get one.)

Running the Mk 23 with an SMG like MP5 or MP7 works wonders, but since your secondary to your sniper rifle is a close-quarters lifeline, take the more reliable Desert Eagle.

DE camo is better. However the best secondary weapon of a sniper is Mauser. Best of bests.

deagle becasue is faster when you take it out, but the best is usp, p228 or m9 for a sniper side arm

Since when p228, usp or m9 have been good sidearms? ONLY if your playing GM those sidearms are kay, but in snd you do NOTHING, NOTHING with M9.

Deagle or Anaconda are all the way best secondary weapons, for snipers and rifles. I don't like Mauser so much so I prefer DE-Camo over it. Conda-ADV is also great weapon.

Desert Eagle is a 2 shot kill weapon. If you nailed at least 2 shots below the neck then there toast(=not the cheese covered ones, but the buttery ones)!

Desert Eagle puts the D and the E in DiE!!!!!

depends on you , most time i use deagle , but conda is good also - high power , high accuracy

Actually, ps228 is a awesome secondary. At least IMO it is, i used it as my main pistol for a long period so I know.. (yes,I had a deagle when I was using ps228).

But out of those two, i would sugest the deagle. All around gun, and a must-have

well i could agree with p228 but m9 or usp (that were mentioned b4) are probably the worst pistols in the game lol

Depends if you like aiming at your enemy's head, or if you just spray. Desert Eagle for me, because I like 1 shotting and Deagle 1 shots at most ranges, MK23 Socom is able to 1 shot too but Deagle can get a kill from 1 shot from a further distance.

it depends on what the the sniper is, if it is a awm then d.e wold be a very good match. the psg would be a conda dsr would also be a deagle so it depends on the sniper

deagle is fast shooting and well powered and fast when you change from awm to deagle, anocanda isa really slow in shooting kinda high powered as people say - i say its the same power of deagle, also only 6 bullets with noob reload speed :P

Between a normal Deagle and the Socom there pretty close.
The socom can only compete against the Deagle at close range where its higher fire rate would be more useful. At father ranges the Socom has to be shot as slow as a Deagle to keep accurate but then the Deagle does more DPS.

Sniper side arms are mostly going to be for surprise close range encounters so either go for the Deagles 2 hit kill, or the Socoms bullet spam 3-4 hit kill.

Deagle or anaconda obviously but in all truth the Usp isn't bad. I go into Pistol only and get like 40-7. If you aim for the head all the time you'll find that even that will do alright. Go for deagle or anaconda though. But I'd connect because in all truth it's quite worth it. Anyways if you don't like it you can still sell for 10k gp.
