Toronto Lan?!
any teams interested in renting out an internet cafe in Toronto to host a tournament bracket event for crossfire?
Ill start searching for candidates for the place to play, but I figure we could maybe do a double elimination style tourney for a little cash prize
The lan will be buy in, to pay for the costs of the rental and the cash prize at the end...
If i get like 10 teams we can definitely do this ****.. post your interests here
and if you got a team post the team name and we can set a day sometime this fall

I think the entry fee if I had to guess per person would end up being something like 15-25 dollars a person depending on how many teams we have.. It would be a day rental for 20 computers I would figure, so 2 teams at a time
ye i could put 15-20$. I would love to do this! It would be cool if some top teams would come. -
Hehe, this has been tossed around quite a bit. We had one at launch, and we are looking to do another. No immediate plans though, its hard to find big enough cafes/cafes willing to close down for some time.
Let us know about your findings
COOOL man, so this could happen! -
ya our entire team is based around Toronto I dont think there's any problem for us getting there.. I think 3 or 4 of LL's guys are in the Toronto area.. I'm talking to blitzed now or at least trying to, too see if he would enter a team as well
If things check out we could maybe make this a monthly event, if the price is right that is -

I'm not sure if they are there, its a little bit before my time. I believe they used NetPlay at Times Square on around Highway 7 + Leslie area. (I think the plaza is called 'times square or commerce gate')
I'm not too sure if they are around anymore though. Last I checked (they have KBBQ there, yum) all I saw was sticker machines. -
http://www.world66.com/northamerica/canada/ontario/toronto/internetcafes/netconnect_1 these guys look decent, has over 20 computers 3 hours is 5$ and there open 24/7. It even says it host gaming tournaments? Should i call them?
Ya give em a call and see if we could perhaps rent the place for a day.. let me know what they say to that.. were definitely going to need more then 3 hours
poke around and see what you can find out -

Thanks sauce, id really appreciate if you could police the lan... dont worry btw, we wont be using the WOGL AC -
YESpc on eglinton and yonge st is a nice little broken down lan centre... if your just looking to play a fun small tourny we wouldn't need a host.... bring 10$ and your good for hours of gameplay ... if your looking to be rewarded for being the best team i say we throw down some money. make our own entry fee, winner takes all !
Ps: someone drag blitz there so he can stop calling everyone he gets owned by a hacker
