Based on how much you like it or think of it.

K-2 (6), MP5 (N/A) and XM8 (11) are the best rifles. I personally prefer the K-2 on maps w/ open areas like Port and Black Widow and the MP5 on smaller maps like Eagle. On huge maps, I use the AWM of course. The K-2 has good accuracy and long distance damage (2 hit KO and 1 hit HS at point blank), but has a slower firing rate. It is good for medium-range multi-kills and long distance 'snipes' (must not crouch though, keep moving forwards sideways and firing). The MP5 has decent damage and a nice speedy firing rate, excellent for close-medium range kills. It is the classic spraying gun, it will not 'jam'-up quickly, the MP7 is not bad too. For both of those guns, it is essential to aim for the head, otherwise, the potential will be lost. The XM8 is also a nice gun, but I don't like to use it because it seems somehow 'weaker', maybe it is the soft sound, but I find the K-2 more powerful and stable.

It is important to always:
a) Do not fear death, backing away, lagging behind will make you a very nice target, and you will never have any kills, you don't see the good guys camping behind base.
b) You are only one person, no matter what gun you have, there is no way you can do a frontal three people, instead try to get behind or beside them from the beginning.
c) If you unleased a clip on multiple opponents and suddenly another one pops out, switch to knife if he/she is close or a pistol if you have one and they are a distance off, there is NO way you can reload and kill them. Do not jump, since it is vertical, and will not take you far enough away. 'Spin' around your opponent. Get behind!
d) It is not over until it is over, do not give up and be shot dead, fight until you can not more, premature surrender and standing still is unsightly and breaks your killer's heart.

The SCAR-L is overused and the firing rate is way to high, it is sucky at long distance, so don't even bother with it. If you miss you're first few shots, the gun will cease firing accurately. Be patient with your first burst, otherwise you will not be able to live to regret it.

The Steyrl-AUG is a cool gun, it must however be used at long-distance, there is no way it can be effectively utilized at a distance. The perfect headshot weapon. Aim for the head, since the firing rate isn't the fastest. In addition, if you're near a wall or corner, do not be tempted to use the scope, it zooms in too much and you will lose control if you start spraying. Use single shot, bursting is not recommended unless you're really close w/o being scoped.

The SG-552 is the most horrible gun in the game, it is extremely loud an you will not get a single kill until a considerable chunk (if not all) of your clip is gone. It is quote on quote OBNOXIOUS.

The P90 is a decent spraying gun, if you can get behind or beside an enemy with this in, say Crossroads, and you jump evasively forwards from side to side, you can kill multiple target easily. This gun is awesome for TD, you will NOT feel this gun freeze or jam-up with continued spraying. It just feels good. At long distance, the fast, constant and unexpected accuracy will let you take down single enemies nicely.

The G36K, can spray accurately for longer than you'd expect, long distance accuracy is okay too, but the damage is much less. Again, do not be tempted to use the scope if you can avoid it. Use this if the Steryl-AUG is too powerful for you.

The AK series guns are very powerful, if you go up from the AK-74 to the Ak-47, the AK-47 will be like a light saber to you. That is because the moderate recoil and fast spray rate would have taught you to control the 47 like second nature. The first burst determines he outcome!

The M4A1 is very accurate, it also has a good fire rate, however, it is not suited for close-distant combat, it lacks the bit of punch need for that. Medium range is okay for it, if you try long d-ing, you will be forced to crouch, making you a prone target to all sorts of people... The Cus and ADV series are muffled, and feels a bit slower, they are a bit stronger and close distance, but is at a disadvantage if people surround you.

All other guns have their own strengths and weaknesses, except the Uzi. I wonder if in real life, you will need to have 20 of its bullets in your head before you drop dead...

My fav gun ever is AK-47, but i can do good with everything, except for M9 >_>

ComplexMind, it does not take 20 bullets to kill withan Uzi. 2 at close range, 3 at long range. I love going against inexperiancedsnipers in Egypt and putting 3 shots in their head from across the map. >=D The accuracy on it actually isn't bad for the first 1-2 shots, just use a crosshair with a dot in the center to tell you where the first bullet would go on a perfect shot. I love headshotting peopleat medium range and then everyone says I'm an aimbotting noob lulz.

Yeah I prefer the ak47 but the m4a1 is fine with me

lol I don't know why people hate on the SG552 I got it months ago when it first came out and there were only 10-15 guns...it's an overal amazing gun...boo hoo it's loud lol just lets the ghost know where I am so they can run at me and get there head blown off..the SG scope is one of the best I can hit guys from across the map with it..the only people who complain about the gun are the sprayers cuz they suck with it..if you shoot in bursts you can dominate and it's usually only take 3-4 bullets

i do believe that M4A1 is the best gun so far. it has a stable shot, 2 shot bursts gets little to no recoil at all, and 3 shot bursts do give off a tiny little bump. the gun is very stable, the screen doesn't become shaky when you shoot it during a quick stop. nor does the gun animation seem awkward.

scar light on the other hand actually has a little bump on the second shot which makes it harder to make the head shot line possible.it's good during close to mid range encounters, but that's about it.

ak does heads hot quite nicely, but most people dont realize that on ak47, the first shot actually does get a little recoil, it's barely noticeable but it will effect the shot a lot. i see a lot of people aiming for chest with ak in order to get a so called "recoil head shot" . that's not where you should be aiming. the proper place is actually the neck for the ak. The ak's reload animation is also quite awkward. it pretty much just blocks you from going back to aiming your enemy once you finish reload unless you take cover.it's also good for all situations, but only if you can headshot properly with it at long range

overall i'd go with m4 in a unknown situation, it's accurate, the 2 shot bursts are deadly. single shots are 90% accurate during motion and it's overall more stable then any other gun. so if we are picking the best gun i would go with 1. but if you state a situation, i might go with either ak,k2 or scar light.
