Explorer.exe crashes!!
Note: This is a problem that my friend has, I'm helping him out by posting on forums.
Alright so my friend decided to redownload crossfire. After he downloads, however, he can't do anything with the setup file. Everytime he touches the file, it says Explorer.exe has stopped working. After that, it crashes.
He has tried a handful of downloads. Filefront, CF Official Download, and etc.
Used Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
The results are the same.
He has downloaded Crossfire in the past and it has worked with ease.
His operating system is Windows 7 Home 32 bit.

you do realise explorer.exe has nothing to do with cf or installers its a windows process that kills your system tray (start button, volume control option etc)
and if its dying everytime he launches it then theres something wrong with im going to assuming registry.
download ccleaner and run a registry scan : http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
also tell him 2 try Advanced system care : http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
for ccleaner download just look under the BUY button you dont have to pay for it its free -
Open the downloads folder and wait for the cf icon to show on the setup. When it shows right click it, then click run as admin. It may take around 30 seconds to a minute for the yes or no option to show up and make take up to 5 mins for the crossfire icon to show up but it will work. I've had this issue for over a month.
