If u use Xfire u will lagg a little bit. Vent is some what free for a month if u find a good site but just find a good friend who will pay for ur vent. fine the Frag server its 2-6 bucks per month for 20 people

Xfire, nuff said. It has ingame support so you can create and join chat rooms or call people 1 on 1. You can also adjust the voice quality and choose who the host is (Xfire pro voice servers, your computer, or whoever has the best internet in the room)

XFire has the worst delay I've ever seen, not ideal for people that want to go competitively. Ventrilo still has a bad delay. Mumble is the easiest to set up, and if you can get sponsored, or contact a Mumble hosting server, they're the best way to go. Mumble has much less of a delay than Ventrilo.
Skype takes up tons of memory, making you lag more compared to Ventrilo or Mumble. -
