Connection problems?

A long time ago, a few months really, I used to get 43 ping/ms, and just last month I used to get 53-70.
now I'm getting 110+
I live in Indiana in America (U.S.), and I searched around a little and got the impression the game servers are based in montreal, I'm not sure about this, but still, I believe they are in canada somewhere.
Nobody else is having this problem from me asking around, and I'm sick of it personally.
My internet provider did change from verizon to frontier, but my ping changed just after that, a week or so perhaps. The first few times I just thought it might have been high traffic, and after that I tried Montreal at a speed test, and then more areas after that. My question is, how can I have this problem, if nothing changed? My internet provider did switch, but my mbps in game was still 43 for a while after that.
I might have forgotten some details, but I still don''t understand as to how this seems to only affects me...
I just want some light shed on this ordeal, I can take myself to a different game if I can't fix this annoyance, but if I can, and if someone can help me figure it out, I'll be happy.
I sent a support ticket previously about this matter, but the answer did nothing for me at all. It just talked about where the servers are, and I already knew that.
