Little question about IP restrictions
Just a small question, i saw the other post where that crazy dude was raging out.
I know Z8 has nothing to do with it, just wondering why Smilegate would ban their own game in their own country, (Smilegate is South Korean and South Korea appears to be red in Saidin's Map, unless smilegate is north korean)
they say that it is to keep hackers away but it appears that the countries where most hackers come from
(BRs, Turks) still remain green. My guess is that those red countries already have their own versions of CF (CF China, CF Japan and CF Vietnam etc.) and Smilegate is trying to prevent overcrowding.

Because SmileGate ordered all of the hosting sites to ban whatever countries that they didn't have licenses to put servers in from their version of the game. Z8Games / G4Box has licenses to the UK, North America, and now South America. Some countries are not blocked because nobody has licenses to that part, so it's wide open.
The Korean version of the game is exclusively only for Koreans. -
The IP restrictions have nothing to do with cheating. Yes, Z8 did use it as propaganda while they were in the process of implementing it. I'm sure tons of people bought ZP just to reward them for finally taking the step towards fixing the game. The forums were full of "finally getting banned" threads and not one was corrected 'til post-patch.

It should be noted that there are hackers in all versions of CF.
The more popular a game gets, the more hacked it will be. This is true for all games, and most especially for the free to play world.
Edit: it should also be noted that the hacking situation, if somehow fixed in one version will get translated programming wise to all other versions. -
Since there is a limited amount of accounts in the closed beta it is easy to deal with the hackers. So the players can take advantage of that.[GM]Saidin wrote: »It should be noted that there are hackers in all versions of CF.

What about restarting the closed beta of CF NA? [/irony off]
