virus when downloading the game

When I download this game, a virus comes up! I used to play and just came back, I think the devs should be aware of this!..

It also depends on what type of anti-virus software you have. Some programs may consider the installation a virus, but it can just be a false-positive(Basically something you don't need to worry about.)

Virus when downoading

I got that same issue but i ignored it but when i go to launch the game, after i click start it shuts off. anyone have any ideas

The only idea is this:

Utilize the program CCleaner to uninstall crossfire, and clean out the registry of its existence.

Delete the Crossfire Folder in MyDocuments.
Delete the Z8games Folder in C:\ProgramsandFiles(x86) - or just C:\ProgramsandFiles

[Optional - Do it]

Find Run.exe on your computer - RUN.
Type in: msconfig
Select the Services Tab, check "Hide all Microsoft Services", everything that appears in the list needs to be unchecked.
Now select the Startup Tab and uncheck everything.
Next, select Apply and click ok. Restart the computer.

Restart The Computer.

Turn off all AntiVirus/the Firewall.

Download a new Install Client from Z8games, install the game. Run it as Administrator.

If the above fails, we'll get into the router settings.

I had 2 extra hard drives, I even tossed a new one in to see fresh OS install and got a virus, I even tried both my virus scanners , its not a fake one, lol, so beware. The game will crash and cause issues, so until this is fixed I would beware, being in game design this can happen so they need to take care of this or it will d rive away people.

Good luck, until its fixed I will wait to install again.

I just tried it again on another site, it seem to be fine so just watch where you download it from, I did it from the official the first few times.

dont wry about it. its a false detection.
