You should check out HP.com and consider the dv6t laptop. If you do consider it make sure to get the one with the radeon 6490m, it should get over 100fps, maybe more -
This one runs at around 300fps \/

but thing is, i built it myself and is a little over your budget lol
EDIT: Congrats on your new computer. that one will DEFF get over 100 fps for sure, no issues there :P

my processor is the equivalent to i7 950's and up
plus, AMD is MUCH cheaper and actually easier to OC if you know how to do shizz in bios.. not to mention, more stable OC... also, to add, i have another pc that is Intel... so im not just some random AMD lover hating on Intel.
I LOVE Intel, dont get me wrong, but they are very "cliche" so to speak... the marketing for them are fantastic.. and the technology is top of the line... but AMD in my opinion is a lot more reliable than intel, in most cases....
basically, if you dont get a phenom II then AMD is deff not worth it.... Intel atleast has quality chips for lesser price that are much better than all AMD chips... like the Q8000/9000's chips, i3, i5's... all amazing chips compared to most AMD, just not the phenom II's :P -

Agreed with everything you said. But the latest gen Sandy bridge chips are also crazy overclockable and very stable as well. I have seen people push the i5 2500k to 4.2GHz on air with very cool temperatures. And it's very easy to overclock as well, just increase the multiplier in BIOS. The 2600k could be pushed even more to like 5GHz with a little bit of voltage tweaking and proper cooling. And I am sure the quad-core i5 2500k@4.2GHz would beat the 6-core 1100t@4Ghz. -
