A bit of help if you wouldn't mind

Hi i get this error everytime i try to start up cf... I have tried a new download of the setup file and reinstall 3 times.

This is a pic of the error message i get. Please note this comes after xtrap and hgw and the game is right about to start. When it first began I got a different error message saying couldn't resize the screen to 800x600x36 (i have windowed mode on the lobby)

This started half way through a game and i haven't been able to load up ever since. Nothing I have downloaded had cause this error - I know this because simply nothing has been downloaded on this computer for other a month other than the new setup file i have just had to download. This game is only for playing on so there is nothing downloaded on to it. I use my laptop for all downloading.

Haha the black on is called bing (he used to have a twin bro called bong but sadly he got ran over :'( ) And the white on is names buttons simply because of his patches of black :P hehe. uttons is funny if he wants attention he will tap you until you stroke or feed him hahaha.

Depends on which installer you're using. Some alternative installers that are external to this site tend to do that. Try the torrent one or a different one.

You know, these non-specific error windows bug the crap out of me. GM-EDS wrote an application to load a database from information provided by vendors over an encrypted connection. Every time it fails, it shows up as "Error Code: 1001" no matter where or when the problem occurs.

If it said which process it was running, or which file was corrupted, people could help you out. Without that info, all I can suggest is do a clean install and see if it clears up your issue.

yea i did a clean install the other day too, i tried today just starting cf up and it runs fine... no idea what was causing the problem but it fixed itself in the end lol.
