You're not the brightest. Cross Fire players in the 'RED' region that has already registered to the game before August 3, 2011 can continue to play the game as anyone else. If they registered their account between August 4, 2011 and the days to come they will not be able to log on the game Cross Fire itself. They can still forum and such, just can't log into the game.

    Cheers!

People quit+ no new players+people switch to the eu version=death eu community n this version

I guess you are not the brightest

There is without a doubt no chance for the UK players to play competitively, if we really do split. EU > UK
  • Well from my view ive got 3 options now

    1) Sticking to this version with a death competitive eu community
    (turning into a pubstar basically)
    2) Make a new account on the eu version and start at 0 while the account i spent almost 3 years and money on is not being used (http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=4774474 note the 3 gold deags)
    3) quit

    *sighs* get on steam

its my duty to convince you to keep playing <3

They would still be inclined to join a version made/designed for them, wouldn't they?

It will for lower pings and better staff . Z8 Needs to hold Na and Eu competitive , while if they had just NA maybe they would do a better job then now , and EU CF would focus on EU competitive so thats a better thing for all!

This is exactly what's going to happen. I feel sorry for UK not being considered as a part of Europe by the license, but what do you expect from slant-eyed P-: Oooo, smells like racism, argh!
But then again, there's no good british players, hahahaha ;)
  • clearly we transfer to EU version. UK server in Z8 has no competitive future, for pub game enough.

uhm, my team also has 3 members in UK as well,
my mate Moyan told me she cant sign the beta, it says the region is not supported ,

therefore we figure out a way that is using proxy IP , then we sucessfully applied.

FU DELLZ ive got some beautiful 1 clicks on you in the past so shhh :)

not really any legit polish players either so GG ;D

    now OT.

i cannot even begin to fathom the stupidity going through the minds of the people at Z8 IP restrict people from playing the NA UK version just as CF-EU comes out effectively destroying the EU competitive scene in your own version... everything you've done so far is completely self defeating even and then not sell the license or share it with/to CF-EU... i mean what kind of handicapped morons are you? your going to make more money by doing this you think? mmk. your logic escapes me.

Here we go. Just tell me what I did wrong, smart one.

You're an idiot, if you don't understand what's happening don't post. The UK player want to play with their EU friends, that simple.
    Read my original post.
P.S As usual I'm rooting for my UK friends, GL guys

i can't begin to fathom the stupidity that is going through your mind.

Why would z8 willingly restrict people from playing their version? Smaller player base, smaller profits.

Z8 and all other versions of crossfire are now ip restricted. I can't make accounts and play on crossfire-eu. THIS IS MADNESS!!!!! The scheme is the same as youtube's media regions, the dvd region system, and the pal/ntsc tv settings. Z8 was told to restrict IP's by the higher ups. They had 2 choices. Restrict IP, or no longer act as a gateway for crossfire.

Crossfire-eu only has 5 S&D maps currently (eagle eye, black widow, port, mexico, downtown) and limited weapons (ak m4 mp5 beretta). It's in closed beta. I guess that truly is the better version like everyone has stated. Definitely see the competitive growing to new bounds.

It's quite simple. Play on your old accounts and nothing has changed. Most competitive players already have accounts. There are also plenty of people with alt accounts to accommodate for new players. Not that I promote account sharing, the possibility is out there. This has happened before, there have been tons of tournies that have played on "old versions" of games instead of the most recent patch.

As for competition in the future. The european community is just going to have to make it's own teams. This will actually be a positive in the long run.

As it has been stated hundreds of times already, you aren't restricted from playing. You are restricted from making new accounts. If you want to go play a version of crossfire that only has 5 rifles and a handful of S&D maps, be my guest. I don't know if you played this version of crossfire in beta, but there is definitely some growing pains that must be gone through.

Also don't think that the eu version will be hack free. Every version of crossfire has a huge hacking problem, not just ours. Once the game leaves closed beta, to an open beta launch the problem will become apparent.

I really expect more out of the eu community, but I just keep getting disappointed. Welcome to the real world.

There's what 30 competitive UK players? Don't think this change will affect anybody that much.
  • solution:

have your UK buddies make your new EU friends accounts.

Yes you can apply ect, but if the UK is blocked by EU CF (as they have a CF server under z8) you will not be able to access the server (actually play)

    More like 10 competitive players.

On a side-note, if I can get away with it I'll make an account for any of my English friends on CF-EU if they want it.

Also, CF-EU won't be released for a while. And having only a couple maps and guns is just perfect. Sometimes keeping things simple is just better.
  • Wdf is sg interactive? How is it*related to g4box?

even if you make the account, people won't be able to use it.

just how if i make eu players accounts for our version. nobody from outside the ip restrictions can log in on the accounts, even though i made them from an allowed zone.
  • I real CF ninja like myself made 50 CF EU accounts yesterday on proxies and I shall start selling them for 10$ each and I'll make a fortune. xD

This is not another QQ thread on how Brazillians weren't blocked or what not.
Here is what I think the affect on the EU COMMUNITY by the IP restrictions.

Firstly let's go over some good EU/UK Scrim Teams.

    1) Seals - 0 UK Players
    2) R.O.C - Had about 3/4 non UK players
    3) Conn3x - A variety of Europeans
    4) subConscious - All GREEK
    5) fragMIND - 3 maybe 4 non UK players.
    6) ruLegends - All Russian, 0 UK players.

    The list goes on.
I may be wrong, but I think when CF EU comes out the EU competitive scene will whither and die out.
THE UK SCENE ITSELF ISN'T BIG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT A COMPETITIVE COMMUNITY.

    There are some solutions.

    1) UK players will have to pub it out.
    2) Join the 1/2 teams that might still be around.
    3) Compete NA.

OR, we could merge UK into the CF EU version. But unfortunately that is unlikely to happen.

Anyway that's what I think is gonna happen and my perspective on it.

    1)

The only reason brasilians are still here is bc if they did block there ip's also, its a huge money loss for z8 since there making most of there money from brasilians buying zp. Im actually ****ed that they didn't ban them bc there also cheaters

Q: Why didn't you block South American IPs?
A: Server IP restrictions are based on the Licenses for Cross Fire. G4Box/Z8Games has acquired the license for South America and are planning to introduce service for this region in the future.

There's what 30 competitive UK players? Don't think this change will affect anybody that much.

90% of people ive talked to will migrate when it becomes open.. and considering i don't want to play with Turks and Egyptians who already play on this version id gladly give up everything i have here... id love to start from scratch again with everybody else.

and yeah i can make an account but i cant play...

so the Brits are stuck with Turks, br's and Egyptians and god knows what other laggers we have from different countries who already have had accounts before the patch.

i would go for a smaller more incomplete version of cf and start again. instead of staying here. you guys might have a strong competitive scene but ours has been on its last legs already this just makes it worse...

and i don't think alot of NA's will want to play against us because of our lag etc. anyway.

so not really stupidity more or less common sense on a level of someone's personal preference.

as for maps.... i like 4 out of 5 of those maps.
as for weapons i only really use m4 and ak.

tbh this is the solution... sell the license to CF.EU so uk players can play it with the rest of the teams etc considering most uk server teams have a combination of nationalities in them. then give the servers currently in the uk to Brasil as saiden has stated that they have the license to south america, they would probably make more money in south america than they would here tbh.....

also i know there will probably be tons of cheaters to begin with but id rather go with my community than stay here...
  • need a petition to get z8 to sell the licence.

this also may advantage them also because, the uk scene will die out obviously meaning less people buying zp and less money for z8. so maybe sharing or selling the licence may be better for z8.

Americans dont want to play with laggy uk players and different time zones neither do the uk players want to play na servers at random times. so again this will lead to the downfall of competative uk cf. not only that the uk scene is preety small

pubstars will be left with h.ackers as brazil turkey or egypt isnt ip restricted, im guessing pub stars will also get annoyed or gradualy stop playing.

also everyone ive spoken too wants uk players in cf-eu as it will make it better, means alot less teams will split and also less uk players quitting.
  • meh, idk. hacks are already on sale for cf-eu and its not even out of closed beta >.>
There'll still be turks and way more germans. It will be the same as CF_UK..............both of them will blow.
  • thats great Crossfire European! EXCEL team has no problem with the new CF EU. **coming soon** most of our solid players are from germany and italy. 8 to 20 pings

2nd placer, first WOGL UK tournament
    EXCEL TEAM is BACK

nope, and turkey are NOT banned from cf-eu. They can come and hack in that version. Hell, they probably will because they'll have less ping. And yes, hacks are already out for cf-eu so i've heard. So.........................its gonna be a hack fest!
